The failure rate of the DePuy ASR system has now increased to 49% within 6 years. This does not bode well for DePuy's Pinnacle hip replacement system, especially since the FDA has just recently began receiving complaints of metal toxicity in these devices. More than likely, more lawsuits against the DePuy Pinnacle hip replacements will follow. Updated information can be found at

A lot of people already came forward to try to get DePuy to compensate them for losses these affected recipients have gone through. With around 93,000 of these ASR hip replacements sold worldwide, Johnson & Johnson already reserved nearly one billion dollars for the hip replacement lawsuits.
