I have been on Microgestin FE 1/20 for almost 8 months now and I'm giving up on it. Yes, you barely have a period which is nice, but only if you want to spot the other 3 weeks out of the month! I kept taking it, hoping my body would adjust to it. Now after 8 months, it has not changed. While reading other blogs, I realized that I have more side-effects from this pill than I thought. Besides spotting, I have a very LOW sex drive, I am hungry ALL of the time (with weight gain) and I can snap w/anger at any time , not to mention horrible acne. I knew that I have not been for myself for awhile, but didn't not realize that it could be this pill causing all of these things. I don't like to blame a pill for these occurances, but I find it hard to believe that I have all of these things since starting this pill, unless it's strictly coincidence. I have to admit the no/extremely light period is really nice, but it's not worth all the other issues!

Well, any synthetic hormone will change your body somehow. We forget that the pill is a medicine and it tricks our body into thinking we are pregnant. So it will effect our weight.

I put on 10 pounds on the pill, when I have my period I lose 5 pounds which my guess is water, and when I come off the pill I lose all the weight as well.

I kind of figured I would rather be a few pounds heavier than have an unwanted pregnancy. There are though many other methods of contraception to choose from so it is always good to speak to a health advisor about the options.

I just started the pill a week ago and I have already had weight gain, upset/sad all the time, and mad, angry. I dont know whether to keep on the pill or to just stop. I cant stand the fact of gaining weight so I dont really know what to do..

I Never gained any weight on birth control, I lost weight and got huge boobs. Try asking for another pill, like Yaz, Or try Nuva Ring or Mirena.
After my pregnancy I'm going to be put on Mirena. I heard it was great.

I started on the pill a few months ago and it hasn't effected me in any of the negative ways. Water retention has actually dropped, didn't have acne anyway, but now have virtually no spots at all, no weight gain and no mood swings...
Think it must just vary person to person.

Many women who are taking birth control pills are very happy to avoid unintended pregnancy. But are blaming oral contraceptives for weight gain and fluid retention at the same time. But I don,t think these kind of pills couse any problem.

The ones I took years ago certainly did.

I have ordered prescription drugs (without a prescription) online from http://inhousegeneric.info about two years ago, and was pleased with the speed and quality of service.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my medication. The meds is expensive, but there is a generic version available overseas.
I love the idea of taking responsibility for my own health (or lack of health) and skipping the bureaucracy... to say nothing of having to drive to the doctor, wait in line, yet again, to get a prescription refilled.

I think this differs with each women. I think it was at the NuvaRing Lawsuit Information Center where some women have developed blood clots while using the ring. Some have reported feeling heavier and gaining some weight while using hormonal birth controls but others have not. I think you will only know for sure if you have personally tried that birth control method.

Based on my little research, less than 5 percent of women who use this method of birth control do experience weight gain. The website does not give any indication as to how much weight a woman may gain while using the Mirena IUD. The reason this Intrauterine Device has the potential to cause weight gain is because it does contain hormones to prevent you from becoming pregnant. However, it is important to keep in mind that the Mirena IUD only contains progesterin. I just want to share this site http://www.mirenalawsuit.us/mirena-iud-carrie... , they have helpful information about the complications that you may possibly get from Mirena.

Fluid retention that causes edema is one of the signs of a possible adverse reaction to the vaginal ring. Although it does differ from person to person. Some may experience it while others don't. I also have read about it in several articles online and at http://www.nuvaring-lawsuit.com/third-generat... about the other negative effects of the ring.

Weight gain is one of the most common side effects of birth control. However, some other adverse effects will depend on body reactions. I read vaginal ring birth control http://www.rotlaw.com/nuvaring-blood-clots that have serious side effects which women should aware of. I think this might be helpful for those women who uses birth control.

Naturally, I am skeptical of everything online. http://inhousegeneric.com is legitimate. I placed my first order for the smallest amount possible. It arrived sooner than expected. I didn't pay the extra money for speedy air mail. I placed another order that was much larger and it came right on time. I will definitely use this company again for even larger orders now that I trust them. They also give you discounts every time you place an order which is cool. One thing to keep in mind is if you place a larger order, they will send half in one shipment, and then the other half after that to avoid customs scrutinizing your package. I am very happy, I no longer need to pay tons of money to see a doctor and therapist (and have them tell me a bunch of stuff I already know) in order to get my medication.

have been researching for months and reading reviews for each pharmacy and finally decided to take the plunge and order from one. After coming to the conclusion http://goo.gl/bLFWQG seemed the most safest and had the best feedback I ordered my pills. Was very apprehensive at first due to cc fraud, ell and they are good i would definetely recommend and purchase againspam and being generally ripped off (have not received one spam email and no cc fraud) order process and checkout was simple.
placed my order on my debit card and was charged straight away and received confirmation email immediately. choose the speedy del trackable and was advised del would be 7-9 days and order was placed on the 08/01. was just about to email them today to chase up as now 15 days but behold package had been posted through my door. packaging seems as shown on webiste. apart from small delay on advertised shipping time i have been generally please with the pharmacy.
wont be taking the pills for another few weeks yet but all going well and they are good i would definetely recommend and purchase again from them.
