There is an all natural supplement you can take to help with your Rheumatoid Arthritis. It will help with the joint inflammation and the joint pain. Full disclosure I carry it on my website but only because I truly believe in it and I am user although I do not have RA. It was developed by a close friend and also one of the leading and multiple published researchers of RA. I'm not making any promises but if you have RA it is worth checking us out. http://DrinkBioGIF.com [link]

I'm 33 just diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis. I took my first injection of Enbrel today and after going through this site I am scared and wondering if I should not take this drug. What percentage of people have these side effects from this drug?

There is a medical Food called "Theramine" that can help with pain in combo with Mobic, etc. Not many drs prescribe it because, currently, the company that makes it requires the docs to dispense it. Most docs do not want to dispense or can't.

I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis 7 years ago and have been treated with several different medications,. The only one that has worked for me is enbrel. I have stopped taking it twice and within 2months and have had severe flare ups, one requiring hospitalization. I stopped taking it because of concerns about lymphoma. Now l realize that my quality of life is more important to me than the risk of developing lymphoma, or any of the other possible side effects. Each person needs to make that decision...which is more important to you? Living pain free won out for me. I will continue on enbrel for as long as it helps my quality of life.

I was diagnosed with RA a year and a half ago. Started Enbrel injections a year ago and felt about 70% better.....until this week. I haven't noticed any visible side effects from the injections. This morning I had trouble getting out of bed, it was that bad. I have been off of Prednisone several months. I absolutely hate that stuff. Aside from all of the other awful symptoms, I gained about 20 lbs. Anyway, I feel so bad today, I am considering taking 10mg.

Ladies with RA, have any of you noticed a correlation between hormones and your pain levels. I am 43 and just started having menopausal symptoms. I have been reading a lot of RA forums and A LOT of women suffering from RA are convinced there is a connection. I think that is the reason I am flaring this week. I started my period Monday.

As far as the Enbrel causing your liver enzymes to go up, I would think it is the methotrexate ithat s doing that.

I read several posts here about people not understanding what we are going through with this horrible disease. I experience that daily. Today my husband came home and I proceeded to tell him how I was feeling. He responded by telling me about his sinus infection! Grrrrrrrr. Join an online group...there are many and it helps to talk to people who know what you are going through.

Good luck to all of you & God Bless.

Your response is as if I had written it. I took Enbrel for about two months. The pain that you discribed was all the same for me. I started having seizures soon after. I am fortunate and greatful to god that I saw on TV a product called Amazing Arthritis Support. I ordered the product and I have absolutely no arthritis pain. NO PAIN. The pain that I had truely was excruciating. Unfortuntely the seizures are still there. If you or anyone cares to try the product just add the .com to the name above. I hope that whom ever tries it that it works the same way it did for me. I am Pain free of the arthritis. I just pray that the seizures would go away
How is your pain now? Did you continue to take that product these years without other medicines?

I have been on Enbrel since 2001.Feeling great. Can function normally. Touch wood no side-effects thus far. My doctor switched me to Enbrel after Methotrexate resulted in elevated levels of Liver Enzymes and caused fatty liver.
If not for the insurance, I am not sure if I could afford it.
It seems there are very few of us with your story! I am the same as you, Envrel has given me my life back. Been on it since 2006. Best of luck!

Hi I don't no if this could help you go into (Gerson Health) it's organic cures. Get a juicer, buy celery ,carrots, Spanish ,sweeten with an apple, try this. I was an embrel for many years. 2 months ago they diagnose me with breast cancer. I have no family history off this decease, I also take care of myself, I eat right. But my Doctor told me that my red cells were low, me not knowing or understanding, not investigating left it alone, also I took a mammogram which according to the radiologist show a hazy radiograph. Write normal results. But anyway getting back to the juices, try them and write me back wish you the best God Bless.

There are no cures for arthritis.
there is a book titled,
The New Arthritis Breakthrough by Henry Scammell, available on Amazon.com

It details 40 years of research by Dr. Thomas McPerson Brown (died in 1989, so this is not new) who treated over 10,000 rheumatoid disease patients with antibiotic therapy-- low dose type a tetracyline, minocin or minocycline. It works amazingly well, with very minor and not lasting side effects. Much more to say, but best to read the book.
There is also a website : Roadback.org that gives great info, testimonials and doctor referrals, if asked. The Roadback was Dr. Brown's original book, 1989, written with medical and professional writer Henry Scammell that is also completely reprinted in The New Arthritis Breakthrough.

I have RA-- have been on this antibiotic protocol for 3 months-- all symptoms are gone or very, very minor and no longer a hindrance to any activities.

I was on Enbrel for 6 mo. It really worked great on my RA. Problem is 3 weeks ago I had a mammogram and it showed a lump in my breast. I by- passed the customary needle aspiration and needle biopsy and had a lumpectomy because I didn't want to drag this out through the holidays. The biopsy showed within those 3 weeks 4 more small lumps grew in the same area. Thank god they were not cancer but my doctor discontinued the Enbrel because of the cancer risk of this drug. I had genetic testing for the cancer gene and it came back negative. I believe Enbrel caused this and the surgeon said the lumps could very well have turned into cancer.

Celebrex is a good choice for treating arthritis.

http://www.kittn.net/celebrex-generic-your-ul...

Apart from this drug you can also try some activities to strengthen your bones and muscles, and therapies that can help you overcome the pain. Try doing things without stressing the part affected by arthritis.

Same thing happened to me. No history of breast cancer. No risk factors. Had three children before 30 and breast fed. Had yearly mammograms. Had a highly agressive tumor. Doctors believe it could had been caused by Enbrel. Everyone please be in tune with your body while taking this medication.
