Here is something for you to consider: Tito was Croatian and under his regime I had more personal freedom then you have in Australia right now.and that is a gospel truth.Secondly , he was not communist but he used commies to grab the power because Ustashe did not play the ball( partisan movement started in Croatia in 1941 ).Thirdly, SFRJ was not communist but socialist federation of 6 republics and had thriving private sector.Croatia and Slovenia were most prosperous and had considerably more freedom then Serbia (freedom of speech and movement).
Bleiburg massacre was committed by 7th so called punishment battalion which was almost entirely comprising of Serbs and was a payback for atrocities that Ustashe did to them 1941-1945 and amongst the victims were considerable number of civilians and Chetnics. After the affair 6 top commanding officer were executed by firing squad and the subject became a taboo never to be spoken of again.( political expedience ).Meanwhile , Tito was busy consolidating takeover of power in Belgrade therefore not responsible for the massacre and execution of above mentioned officers was on his orders.Anyway, those are events well in the past and it is better to live them there and move on.

As much as I'm enjoying this croat vs. croat "hatefest" you all seem to only post comments that support your own agendas. So lets enlighten you Uneducated Hillbilly's with some FACTS:

Firstly. Tito was a Croatian
Secondly: Tito was a Communist Dictator (in Every sense of the meaning)
Thirdly: Tito was a willing participant in the murder of all those who opposed him, serb or croat
Fourthly: Most citizens in the Jugoslavija of the 50's-70's say they lived better than their Balkan neighbours (I find this debatable but who cares)
Finally: There WAS A Holoaust
There WAS A Blieburg & a Jasenovac death camp
There WAS A SFRJ, and now its GONE Hvala Bogu...

Please feel free to continue to rag on each other with your Childish, Narrow minded Uneducted views, it's splendid entertainment...HAHAHA

No crimes he was a great man like you said. No I have never been to Croatia and know nothing about it's past.

Lucky we have very smart people like you who thinks he can ask the questions. No murders or imprisonment of nationalist Croats by pig man tito, your right.

The only country you fought for would have been jugoslavia. You would not even know how to hold a gun, so don't lie.

You make yourself out to be some sort of wise guy throwing questions at people.

I wont answer any of your questions because I don't like jugoslavs like you

Do you jugoslavs have no shame? changing your nationality? You should hang your heads in shame. You are the vermon we Croats have been fighting the last 50 years

"why the need to split from yugoslavian utopia ?" the clueless has to ask.!

Havent you heard of Slobodan Milosevic, Borisav Jovic, Ratko Mladic, Radovan Karadzic etc. & their mid-late 1980's quest of a 'Greater Serbia', to unite all Serbs from across SFRJugoslavia in one ethnically cleansed state.

if you think MASS MURDER is a 'petty reason' for disliking tito, then you truly are a psychopath.

Many reasons why Croats left their homelands

Mainly the advance of the Ottoman Empire,

domination & assimilation pressures from the Austro- Hungarian authorities

Occupation & pressure's from Serbian Monarchist Authorities in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croat's & Slovenes, later known as Kingdom of Yugoslavia

1991-1995 Homeland War

less Croat's left Tito's People's Socialist Yugoslavia than the above example's listed

" Yugoslav " - "apologist's" apologize ?, what ever for ????

What was done was done, the Serbs got their revenge at Bleiburg, fanatical enemies of the people were weeded out & Croatia, Serbia etc. was re-built, re-developed & modernized through out the Cold War period- what's there to apologise for.????

Croatian culture traditions continued under Tito, Croatian musical culture continued under Tito, Croatian language preservation continued under Tito, Croatian self identity continued under Tito, religious rights of expression continued under Tito, Croatian worker's rights were respected under Tito, all that was missing was Ustasha & Chetnik idealism - is that what pisses off Kreso & Parastam ?????

You can speak of your own experiences, but not for those of others. My parents left Yuga several decades after WWII (I mention this in case you get the idea to trash and label them as I've seen you do the families of other posters) as adults with their own opinions about a place they, indeed, did live in and which were not favourable. My relatives that live in Croatia just happen not to hold any fond memories either and this reality is something Yuga and Tito apologists will have to get their head around.

Opinions vary Poca my parents didnt hate Yugoslavia they both had good educations, good jobs and a stable income they didnt care much about the politcal side of things.

But i know family of friends that utterly hated Yugoslavia. And struggled with things such as work etc so i understand where you're coming from.

Try not to be so hard on Milan everyone is entitled to their opinions

What part of Croatia do your parents come from ?
