Better Character what makes you any better here you are trying to start something on someone else in the community. I also grew up in Stevenson and I'm not airing my neighbors past. Get real please.

BC, before you start airing your neighbors dirty laundry, you better make sure you have nothing to hide! I saw the family in church one Sunday, the son got up and started crying like a baby, telling about how good of a family they were, half of us were trying not to laugh and the rest of them were rolling their eyes. So if you want to get on here and try to start some crap better be prepared, se of us know more than you think

I wouldn't care if he was my neighbor. And if that's what my wife wanted I'd do it anyways too. Treating this guy like a criminal is stupid. And why are people so afraid to live by a grave?

I live on top of dead indians. indian burial ground. Doesn't bother me any. They don't come out of the ground and bother me.

You are all going to die. Sounds like some people don't want to face the reality that you too will be a corpse rotting in the ground. So there is no reason to be freaked out if you have one next door. It's not like you can see the corpse or have to look at it. All you see is flowers.

This is the problem with our country today. Cry babies. And cry baby lawyers that go find every technical aspect of the law and get more and more laws passed until you get arrested for mowing your own grass. DEAL WITH IT.

You may be a member of his family but I am a family member of someone on the city council so I know what they have offered him. If it is so right for him to bury her there why would he wait until night time and the mayor was out of town? BC he knew it was wrong! That obviously isnt going to help him out on the situation.. So your family has been good to others in the past? Thats all good and well but we arent talking about the past here we are talking about the present. If he doesnt want all the attention of this why does he keep calling the news to his house?

Please dont act as if you know anything as you clearly dont. I know what the family feels because I am a family member as you are not . So sont presume to act like you have any kind of knoweldge. My family has lived on that street for many years and have been very good to our neighbors letting some borrow lawn mowers, tools ect. Taking local children bts shopping and preparing meals for under the weather neighbors. And most importantly trying not judge our neighbors as some had some very serious personal issues. At times we have been concerned with one neighbor making improper phone calls to ladies in our town but since his wife is prominate then folks overlook that and then there has been drinking problems of some of our neighbors as a host of other things. But we continue to not jusdge but try to help all parties involved .. May be you should think along those lines I guarantee this may make you a better person...

Reply: Well all those good deeds still dont give him an excuse to break the law now does it. He only wants what he wants and he is making the whole town pay for in by getting a reputation of being an ignorant back woods place.

First of all nothing happened at night she was brought home at 10am in morning which is daylight . And second of all the mayor was back in town from his trip to Hawaii and actually drove right by there during her being layed to rest. As he himself has told so get your facts straight as I said (DONT PRESUME TO ACT LIKE YOU KNOW THIS SITUATION).The point I was trying to make was that for ever our family has been good to people and the time in our lives when we needed people most then look what happeneds. We never judged even when we witnessed things and if we had intended to air our neighbors dirty laundry then we would have done it long ago. But you back anyone in a corner and keep stabbing and eventually any person will come out fighting. My intention is not to hurt anyone But I am tired of watching my family get hurt.

If your intention was not to hurt anyone why did you bring up neighbors making phone calls etc.? This is about mr. Davis doing what he was told not to not about helping people or airing other peoples laundry. Gwanny knows lots of thing on people here in the avenues but I don't tell it because I am not the judge God is. I personally dont want to live beside a grave.

So when they all die, and get buried in the front yard, the house goes up for sale, what is the price for a corpse going to be? I can see the ad now, house for sale, buy now and we will throw in 2 stiffs for free!!
The man owns the house and has several children and many grandchildren. Why do you just THINK that others would buy the house when all these generations could and should inhabit the house that Mr Davis OWNS? It belongs to him and he intends for it to be in the family. Strangers should be the last concern here seeing as how he has so much family. Thank you VERY much

IN reading these post about the young man that stood up in Church,Ihave to say that this is very sad. For someone to feel they can turn to a church family in a trying time but to only be made fun of is very disirbing. Does this church have not feel something is wrong with this picture when instead of praying for this person , just stand in judgement and make fun of him. If you ask me there is a bigger problem in that than in the situation of the young man. And maybe there is something to this accusation of these folks not being treated right. And by the other post I have read I can see where the family should began to stand up for themselves because you folks are all very cruel .I can only be glad that I dont live in Stevenson , Bridgeport is a much nicer place I think.

Reply: Well thank you so much Ella if he is in bad health as they say and he is alone seems to be they would be there taking care of him i've heard nothing about them on here just what other people think they will do as you may know a well extended family most of the time means selling and deviding Daddys ownings and then where would the city be. What was the whole concept of City graveyards it was to keep out of the front yard come on Ella if you are so up about it offer her aplot in your front yard, No i thought not we all like to mouth off when its in someones else back yard.

Mr Davis was quoted on the news saying how extended his family was and how he intended for the house to stay in the family :) but guess you are basing the words you choose from pure hear-say huh? And his son also agreed to bury him beside his wife. Why would I offer a lot in my front yard? I'm simply informing you that selling the home to randoms is not on the agenda for this huge family, nor did I express how I felt about the burial plot in a front yard. Because my opinion and your opinion on that is irrelevant. Like I said, I was just saying that strangers owning the house should not be a concern of yours, for it is not even in Mr Davis's plans for the house to leave the family name. Thank you!

Reply: Well Ella his plans as we know can change when he passes. The issue isnt selling the house at all or leaving it in the family it is putting a dead body in the ground in the middle of town where other people have to live and no a stranger will never own the house for who the hell would buy the house if the grave is there on the front porch. Can you just imagin living across the road from that anf you family comming in from out of town to visit what horror it would be for little children to contend with. If you want to keep your loved ones on the front porch then you should check out the zoning laws before you buy or otherwise just move to the country and do as you please and dont expect everyoneelse to bow to your wishes just because you are old and stubborn, the plot the city offered him is a short walk from his home but it is a cemetert meant to bury loved ones in. If he had wanted her in the house or near he should have done as she requested and cremated her an there would be no problem he could take her on drives ate with her set her on front porch and no one would have cared .Thank You

I was commenting on his quote with the issue being other people buying the house, the value of it. And I said that wasn't an issue because mr Davis's plans are not to sell to others. I did not say that I agreed with him burying her in the yard, so you're arguing with thin air here

Huh? That statement was so confusing, I can't make sense of it. Yes the grave is with the house which he plans on keeping in the family which is ALL I SAID and it's true and it was his statement and not mine so how can people keep arguing with me and telling me their opinion on if it's right or wrong and I don't care. I'm not for it or against it, not my business or any of yours. When I found out the health department gave it an okay for no public health hazard, that's when I decided to stay out of it since, at that point when I realized it did not harm me, I decided it was no longer my business. Now the only thing I have stated was Mr Davis's statement on the news. To clear up what someone said about the house being sold after he died. I did not think that FACT could be argued with but apparently so. Maybe you people should read what someone says before you decide you can argue with it.

People like you think everything concerns you. It's not a health hazard so the facts do not concern you. I have nothing to BUTT OUT OF, I just stated a fact Mr Davis said since there is so much insolence and misinformed people on this forum. Does it concern you because you live close to him? Well so do I but I'm not nosy and "all-knowing" like you. Because truthfully if you aren't him, or his family, it does NOT concern you. What part about what I said concerns you? I didn't even state an opinion you moron, I stated a fact. Which tells me you're entitled and the TRUTH bothers you. You have no dog in this fight, get over yourself and stop thinking everything concerns you
