Mr. Davis should be left alone on this issue. He'a not going to be around much longer and the city can decide Mrs. Davis's fate after Mr. Davis is with her.

I think Mr. Davis shoul be left to mourn his wife in peace. He was fullfilling her last wishes and back in the day ( a time that we really should not ignore) it meant something to honor th wishes of the dead. He did right by her and people need to respesct the love and respect he still carries for her. After he is gone if the government just can't stand it that bad they can move her. She is not hurting anything and should have the right to rest in peace and shame on the imbiciles who are tormenting this poor man.

Being a former councilman of another town I personally know that the city has more to do than bug some old sick gentleman over his loving wifes last rites:::Let Mr Davis alone, evidently he is not very moneyed or prominent!!In most little one horse towns poeple with prominence can usually do what they want to nothing said: Create jobs work with your development council(If you have one)Form a task force if you don't! Do something to keep your young people at home so they won't have to drive for miles to work; Work on your drug problem Quit meddling and start doing something productive!!! In my opinion!!

So when they all die, and get buried in the front yard, the house goes up for sale, what is the price for a corpse going to be? I can see the ad now, house for sale, buy now and we will throw in 2 stiffs for free!!

@ johnson: that is just slap out rude and disrespectful!!! how would you feel if you carried out your loved ones last wishes and someone came in tellin you that you had to change what you had done. miss patsy is at peace why cant people just let her be that way. i personally do not know mr. davis but how to do you know he isn't a very wealthy man who has all his ducks in a row and has made sure his home/wifes resting place will never be sold and will always be taken care of?! just bc someone doesnt agree with someones final will does not mean they have any right to judge it!!! i think it is very honorable what this man is doing to honor his wife. its just sad at the way some people can be so heartless and careless towards others thoughts and feelings

He wasn't thinking about his neighbors thoughts and feelings! How about the restaurant that is a few feet away, no I doubt he informed them of his plans. I bet he is not your neighbor is he Amber. Well Stevenson you are now on the national news, hope you're proud. One other thing, if he can pull this off, get away with it, everyone will start to do it too, including YOUR NEIGHBORS!!

Why is everybody worried about this he has 5 kids and 15 grandkids, its keep neat and clean why dont they worry about bring jobs to this town so people dont have to drive miles from home to work. And from what i hear the health department said it was safe. They need to worry about the drug problems in this town, people dont know this man and they are disrespecting him but those people will pay in the long run.I SAY LET HER REST IN PEACE

REPLY: Thats not the issue at all its just not proper to start throwing people in the groung anywhere, most small children dont understand they are afraid of graveyards besided what will we start burying next our garbage in the back yard where does it stop when you let it start. I feel for the man but he should have moved to the country before his wife passed if this was what he and her were wanting or at least checked it out before she died not after lets face it most of this mess is his fault. I guess someone might just want to be buried in the new ball field well its public place why not or over in the park why not on main street where does it stop come on get over it and move on Mr Davis in in a bad situation but there are plenty of outs for him he shouldnt be so stubborn either just saying

You know a lot of you people don't know the real story. Mr. Davis's son-in-law says she never told them she wanted to buried in the front yard. If it was me and I wanted my wife buried in my yard I would just have her cremated and then bury her or put her on the mantle and nobody would ever know if she was buried there or not. The family was offered 2 lots for their body's to buried in but they just wanted to stir up a lot of shit.

Reply some wishes should not be carried out if it is against the law and just down right inapproeriate. Why in the world would you live in the heary of atown and expect to bury your faily font yard what a joke on the city for allowing it to happen did he just go to fneral home and carry her there in a car and drop herin the ground after dark as i have read. as for he health dept approvngit well ook who you have in there approving stuff any way they would nt know a health hazzard if it was burried nest to them and could care less they should be the ons in trouble for allthis.

Some of you people really have no idea about the whole story! He was given plenty of options from the city hall. I am a resident of Stevenson and I live just down the road from this house. This is all disgusting to me. The news makes him out to be an innocent old man and he is most definitly not! All he is after now is the attention. Mrs Patsy would roll over in her grave if she knew this was all going on. Its embarrassing to the family and makes Stevenson look bad!

Dear Stevenson Resident,
Please dont act as if you know anything as you clearly dont. I know what the family feels because I am a family member as you are not . So sont presume to act like you have any kind of knoweldge. My family has lived on that street for many years and have been very good to our neighbors letting some borrow lawn mowers, tools ect. Taking local children bts shopping and preparing meals for under the weather neighbors. And most importantly trying not judge our neighbors as some had some very serious personal issues. At times we have been concerned with one neighbor making improper phone calls to ladies in our town but since his wife is prominate then folks overlook that and then there has been drinking problems of some of our neighbors as a host of other things. But we continue to not jusdge but try to help all parties involved .. May be you should think along those lines I guarantee this may make you a better person...

you hit the nail on the head. He's not the innocent old man he's being made out to be. The only person he thinks about is his self. I would be very very upset if i were one of his surrounding neighbors. He should have her moved, he bever got the approval and he did it anyways.
