Who cares, it's a sport of economics for individuals and countries. Most countries that win more medals have better economies and richer athletes who can hire trainers, coaches, nutritionists and doctors. It's an event of resources for the most part. People are crying why no softball etc. Why because not enough countries give a crap about popular US sports.

The opening ceremonies were retarded. We expected The Stones, The Who and we get Mary Poppins falling from the sky? Really?? REALLY??

Read that article you linked to. What's up with Cameron and the clown mayor of London with their bitter remarks about China and Mitt Romney? Everyone keeps saying this [bizarre] ceremony was showing some kind of British confidence in the "new" Britain but I don't see it - or hear it. Sounds like a lot of defensive whining going on. At least finally the sport is underway and the non-whining athletes of the world are competing against each other.

NBC coverage of the Olympics sucks.
Yes the commentators are biased towards the Americans. Ignorant and arrogant unless you are American. Dan Hicks and Rowdy Gaines in the swimming were f*&^ing horrible. Someone needs to shut Rowdy up!!!!!!!!!! Beach volleyball wasn't much better.
