Our security in Guyana has shown massive improvement through out the years...fighting robberies, killings and other crimes...they deserve to be treated and acknowledged with respect and trust...

A POLICE detective was shot and killed yesterday morning in a confrontation with armed pirates at Cromarty foreshore, Corentyne, Berbice.

this has been one more captures of criminals in there acts...condolences goes out to the family of the dead policeman...

The Guyana Police Force has improved in their methods of fighting crime. Several plans have been implemented in preventing crime as opposed to solving them. "prevention is better than cure".

The number of petty crimes on the streets are far less now since Police ranks have been patrolling the streets. Many thieves have been caught committing the crime by the police because they are right in the vicinity when people call for help. Police patrolling has been one of the best methods of crime prevention thus far.
