The Government will be allocating money for the removal of garbage in Geogetown and other places. In addition, Minister Rasammy said that there will be medical treament for persons attending carifesta.I think that the Government is not abusing the $500 million. They are more things that the Government is doing to make this event more flourishing.

I agree CARIFESTA is something all Guyanese should be proud to host. Let's be hospitable people and show our neighbouring countries what Guyana is capable of. Remember one people, one nation, with one destiny... (PROGRESS)

CARIFESTA is returning home to its birth place, Guyana its time to start celebrating.
I urge all Guyanese to play a part in CARIFESTA by show casing our Guyanese hospitality and our wonderful culture, let’s make the festival of arts a success, we will all benefit for CARIFESTA if not directly but definitely indirectly by all the added
investments CARIFESTA will spur, which will then mean more job creation in Guyana more money in the economy, and thus more revenue can be collected and will go back to develop the infrastructure example school, health center, bridges ects….

Let’s play our part

Lets all do our best in ensuring that fellow countries see what an independent country we are, lets show them we are the best country to host carifesta, lets be hospitable, kind, friendly and united people to portray that we as Guyanese can live as one. We all have a role to play in this festival. We need to keep our environment and surrounding clean and litter free, we need to be careful on the roads to avoid accidents.

Let’s not clean up only for CARIFESTA, but for all seasons because CARIFESTA will reintroduce the Caribbean and the rest of the world about our beautiful country and so tourist will want to return to this tropical paradises just above the equator

does the beauty inlude the mountain of garbage on king st left of the gas station entrance? or the mad man sleeping on camp st outside city mall?

by the way, that little prickly thing to bore yuh tyre the soldiers and police have outside gafoor mall entrance is a fine, formidable, fantastic piece of security arrangement. maybe next time see if you can get them a light, a lighted sign or somehting so we don't run them over cause that lil schupidy stop sign they got ain't stopping nobody and you wont know they out there til you feel the bump under yuh wheels.
we rolled right on through last night and this morning again. we did wave though

Amidst all that is happening in our country preparing for CARIFESTA is that all you have noticed?

I could tell what your attention is on. A negative person always has negative thinking and never succeeds in life.
