Gun microstamping would increase the value of present gun collections by 10 fold, LOL.

Microstamping is another political brainfart from the NYC crowd. A feelgood tactic that will do nothing to stop a criminal intent on committing a crime. The only one a microstamped case will come back to is the legal owner.

Who cares, let the "in crowd" think it does something. That said, let it 10 fold increase the value of pre microstamping guns!

There are too many guns already in circulation (350 million).

Yup, and those firearms would constitute the largest black market economy in the US if there was a microstamping requirement for new guns, LOL.

The best thing for criminas to do is market used brass found at shooting ranges for the purpose of throwing off the spent casing detectives, LOL.

Waste of money and it’s just another Gun Control scheme. Weapon can’t be identified if a shooter uses a revolver.

“Microstamping, or ballistic imprinting, is a patented process that uses laser technology to engrave a tiny marking of the make, model and serial number on the tip of a gun’s firing pin to allow an imprint of that information on spent cartridge cases.”

And it can be eliminated with a small file.

.
ammo reloading first step is to punch out the spent primer where the firing pin hits, so unless dummy criminals leave their empties at the scene of the crime this method is useless.
