MY View: Guns don't save lives — people with guns do, and proven in all mass shootings.

"In opposition to the vast majority of both Americans and membership of the National Rifle Association, the NRA leadership this year bullied Congress into a rejection of expanded background checks, which could have kept weapons from the perpetrators of the recent mass murders (think Virginia Tech, Aurora, Colo., and Tucson, Ariz.)."

This is pure BS!!! In all three of those shootings, the shooter had gone thru a background check when purchaseing their guns thru a dealer.

Yep, they list a half-dozen or so in this months NRA magazine. Also the Armed Citizen monthly list of those who saved their own or others lives by the proper use of a gun.

5-year-old Texas boy accidentally kills himself with napping babysitter's gun

Orange County, Texas, Sheriff's Office
Melissa Ann Ringhardt, 19, of Vidor, Texas, was charged with abandoning or endangering a child after 5-year-old John Read shot and killed himself with her gun Monday, authorities said.

By M. Alex Johnson, Staff Writer, NBC News
A teenage babysitter was arrested Tuesday and charged in the death of a 5-year-old Texas boy who accidentally shot himself with the babysitter's gun while she was napping, authorities said.
Melissa Ann Ringhardt, 19, of Vidor was being held in the Orange County Jail on a felony charge of abandoning or endangering a child, the county sheriff's office said in a statement. She could face a sentence of six months to two years if convicted.

The sheriff's office said Ringhardt, who lives with the boy's family, left her semiautomatic .40-caliber handgun on a coffee table when she went into a bedroom to take a nap Monday afternoon. When she woke up, she couldn't immediately find the boy, identified as John Read, according to the sheriff's office. She eventually discovered him dead in the living room, it said.

Yep, it is estimated that firearms save law abiding citizens more than one million times a year most often without a shot even being fired. How do the libtards respond? By making more gun free zones to protect the criminals and the crazies.

..........Yes, when you grow up, and learn how to read, the big word, PROPER, will become clear to you. In this case what was improper is that a loaded gun was within reaching distance of a child with no trigger lock at least. PROPER would have been unloaded in a lock-box out of reach. And yo mamas so fat when she sits around the house, she sits a-r-o-u-n-n-d the house.

There are approximately two million defensive gun uses (DGU's) per year by law abiding citizens. That was one of the findings in a national survey conducted by Gary Kleck, a Florida State University criminologist in 1993. Prior to Dr. Kleck's survey, thirteen other surveys indicated a range of between 800,000 to 2.5 million DGU's annually. Thirteen OTHER studies with the lowest from gun control groups was still 800,000. Clintons own ordered study (liberal gun control biased) still said around 800,000. If 9,000 are murder and at least 800,000 saved lives then logically each citizen should be issued a gun and must carry by law. Of course we would want a study on small scale first. Oh wait we already did in Kennesaw GA. where the citizens were required by law to own a gun and yes the crime rate dropped like a brick. Hmmm, real world numbers that are undisputed. One would think logical people would prevail but some are just willfully ignorant. To ignore logic in favor of illogical stance against an inanimate objects is a sign of mental illness. of course the mentally ill are always the last to realize it while those around them point it out they just refuse to see it. Has anyone pointed out you may be sick? Do you debate with ranting instead of facts? Do you obsess over sexual issues? Consider yourself notified.

These are the facts that the social liberals don't want to hear. All they can do is spam garbage to try to hide true fact and shut down these posts.
