Has anyone contacted the custom shop regarding the replacement or purchase of any grips (like) warrior and or raptor grips. All I get is NO not available. I ask about custom work, like snake skin on the front strap the answer again is NO. I see no Custom or Customer service in the so called custom shop. "They seem to do what they want and not for the people who support and buy there products. Any comments ???

Thanks for your time, I appreciate it and I will use it. I know some times going to the source is not all that good, but when we deal with custom this and custom that. I do go to the source and expect service (could I be wrong ?)
Do you know why they are so selective on what they customize and it seems like for who ? If I was a magazine edditor I'm sure they would stop everything for me. but I'm not!
At least at Les baer they are willing to help the customer.
Thanks again for the web site.

Independence in business will teach them 1 very important lesson. There is competition, willing to cater to the costomer. I have 5 Kimber pistols and looking for a 6th but I don;t think it'll say Kimber on the side of it.

Kimber, have not had a problem with them. The service dept. has been most helpful. Wanted to change to the Mepro adjustable night sights. Kimber quoted me a price that was very reasonable, and it included an initial sight in by actual firing. Could the problem have been your attitude?

My First Kimber was a cdp ultra 2,it was not a bad gun but I had to relpae the extractor and the guide rod and used different mags then the gun was ok but it took about $450. to got it there.Since I have owned three different wilsons I carry the proffesional everyday. It thas never let me down. But it seem like Kimber has come a long way in the last few years so I am giving them another try yesterday I purchased a desert warrior it seems to be very smooth I broke it down to inspect it and I do like the smaller guide rod and the trigger has no creep what so ever, useing a gun everyday you have to count on you weapon and it looks like this one will be ok.By the way the custom shop has never given me a hard time, or a no so maybee you cuaght a guy on a bad day?I like the gun I bought yesterday I will be teaching a class today I am going in with the weapon cold no breakin the only true way to test the tool that could save your life.I hope for only the best but I will let you all know what happens She will get a workout ok.

Just picked up my sixth Kimber last week. Grand Raptor II. I absolutely love it. Kimber has a great product line and continues to provide the finest commercially produced 1911 for the money.

Sent a polymer hi capacity .45 in due to not chambering a round propery. they found a small crack in frame. Custom shop replaced the pistol with a new upgraded single stack alloy frame 45.($125.00 more) free of charge and added 2 extra magazines(also free). They even test fired and checked functality before sending it to me. Professional and businesslike service. Thanks Kimber Custom Shop.

Can't seem to find any clothing, most noteably, T-Shirts or Jackets/Coats with Kimber logos. Get with it Kimber, unless you want Kimber using folk wearing Glock-wear.

Gee Robert, can't wear a logo on your sleeve huh? I hate geeks that feel the need to advertise what gun they have.

Just purchased an Ultra Raptor II. The quality and fit are outstanding. I have a Glock 23C with a LaserMax sight which is also an outstanding weapon. The Kimber is a nicer looking weapon and shoots as well. I would not hesitate buying another Kimber

I purchased a ultra raptor II recently. On my first rip to the range, I put 150 rounds of 230 gr ball ammo with no jams or ftf's. I loaded only five rounds at a time as I was shooting for groups at 15 yards. Great accuracy from such a small .45. I then proceeded to load full 7 round mags for speed drills etc. The pistol would not go into full battery. A slight bump from my palm would be needed to fire.
My dealer determined a defect in the feed ramp. Pistol sent back to Kimber Custom Shop for correction. I am awaiting the outcome.

We could certianly use your experience and wisdom in the daily combatting of the gun bigots and banners who infest the board.

I just bought a new Kimber Pro CDP II .45. After seeing them on every magaizine cover or back and hearing they were the "BEST" 1911, I plopped down enough to buy 3 Glocks. 8 hours after buying it I took it to break it in (30 rnds of ammo)and the thumb safety switch broke loose and disappeared, leaving a deep scratch in the frame. Within 40 hours I returned it to the shop where I purchased the gun and he said he would send it back to the company and they would most likelt "fix" it. Personally I want a new gun that has not been patched back together-like bondo in a car fender. For now I am not impressed with this "quality" but I will repost with what the factory intends to do.

I bought a Kimber Ultra-Carry II. Had nothing but trouble from it. It would jam nearly 40% of trigger pulls. In the majority of the jams, the round not only was not stripped from the magazine, but was not budged at all. The slide would simply stop. When slow cycled, the slide would hang up on the series 2 firing pin safety, and would not go into battery. There were other problems with it, I don't remember everything I found. I sent it back to Kimber with my list of grievances. They sent it back to me and told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the firearm. I changed the springs in the mags, which improved it a bit. I'm pretty sure a new recoil spring would help it as well, but I put it away and switched to Glocks. I'd never buy another Kimber again.
