<quoted text>The other day I was in the store and a fat lady bought a lage candy bar and started eating it right away.
I knew sometime in the past she had to have eaten chewing gum (the gateway candy) as we all know this leads to more sugary snacks.
Why can't we ban all candy due to this fat ladys actions ?
You know, I think I have a glimmer of how the subject mind works (as opposed to the citizen).

The subject wants someone else to control them. Or they want to control someone else.
Kind of like the classic German mentality. They thrive best when someone has their boot on their necks, or when they have a boot on someone neck.

When I thought of your proposed scenario, I just could not wrap my mind around something that smacks of control. If someone wants to eat themselves to death, or snort themselves to death, or smoke themselves to death, I have no problem with that. It is called survival of the fittest.
Where we have screwed up is in our med tech.

We now are able to keep stupid people alive far beyond their normal, evolutionary span.

Add to that a willingness for many people to say I need to spend MY money keeping these stupid people alive, and you have a recipe for disaster.

If you want to ride your motorcycle with out a helmut, great, no treatment for any head injuries you receive in an accident.

If you want to smoke, no treatment for lung cancer or emphysema.

If you want to do drugs, no treatment for overdosing.

Unfortunately, in this day, we are not allowed to suffer the consequences of our actions.

And stupid gun control laws only interfere with the natural selection of predators.

But what about another way of thinking.

You ride your motorcycle without a helmet get hurt you get treatment because you are not judged .

You exercised the liberty to ride without a helmet or to drive a car without a seat belt .

I believe and if fact practiced this way.

Help ,but no moral judgement.

Good post.

The cops don't want us having the ability (firepower) to take out too many of them at once. Police believe their safety trumps our right (listed in the 2nd A) to have assault and non-assault firearms. That is further proof of their contempt of the Bill of Rights. They also want us to think they would never help an oppressive or tyrannical govt, but that is exactly what they would do (and what they did at New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina).

The police also believe some of us don't have the RIGHT to hate them for their contempt of the Constitution.

All police are antigun.

Machines that can keep the heart pumping and the lung breathing forever.

It was that comment that finally silenced Bush when a husband wanted to pull the plug on his bedriddened wife.

I agree. Medical advances have kind of made sure our species will no longer improve.

One reason I want to see illicit drugs legalized is that it will re introduce natural selection.

Just think what a single barrel shotgun cound do if you increased the capacity 100%! Double barrel shotguns are twice as dangerous. I am sure New York only has my best interest at heart when they limit me to a 10 round magazine for any firearm. If you believe that I have a fine bridge for sale in Brooklyn.....
