LOL, his wife probably changed his stance on global warming, too! In spite of the fact that polar ice is growing.

First of all the hoops you must jump through to have an assault rifle is not only costly but very time consuming. (An assault rifle is a fully automatic military firearm). So essentially he no longer supports semi automatic firearms built to look (all aesthetics) like a military arm And the hi capacity magazines. But you cannot only ban those replica rifles you must ban all semi automatic weapons. Therefore the right to keep ad bear arms will in fact be infringed. Now if your a husband and a family man and you want to make your children safe then you would walk them to school with a fire arm to combat possible assailants who are criminals with firearms. Now we know that from the NICS background checks that criminals cannot own or have in there possession any firearms. Which leads me to my point that criminals DO NOT follow laws. Therefore making a ban on any arm against a law abiding citizen would do nothing more than harm citizens of the country who are legally allowed to own firearms. Your argument and logic is skewed for no reason other than popular vote

If he were elected to office whatÂ’s he going to say during the oath about support and defending the Constitution of the United States of America? Any and all gun control measures are an infringement.

Thank you, Mr. Gomez, for revealing that for you the Constitution and civil rights are matters of political expediency, not principle.

Republicans everywhere take comfort knowing that had you been elected to the Senate you would have become yet another Northeastern RINO who votes exactly like the democrat who won.

BTW - Massachusetts will never elect you to anything. So you sold out for nothing. Zero. Good call.

You're kind of on the right track. However, "assault rifle" is a military term all together and at this time is not a firearm legally defined by US Code in any current firearm act or the NFA in specific. If one who is not tax exempt and wants a MACHINE GUN, a firearm that shoots more than one bullet per pull of the trigger, one must simply reside in a state where the possession is not prohibited by the state and you can purchase one tonight with a credit card if one is not prohibited from possessing any firearm. The purchase happens right away, the transfer is contingent on the NFA registry branch processing the tax application. But to reiterate, there is no definition of "assault rifle" in the NFA or US code at this time, it is a MILITARY definition.

And before you get all corrective on me, not only do I legally own two machine guns, several sound suppressors and "sawed off" shotguns, I've actually gone through the NFA making process and constructed my own NFA, LEGALLY.
