what?...this is statment make no logic. People already have guns here and take them out of town to shoot..thus taken money out of town. set up range here, people spend the money here to shoot. nearby out of towners will come here to shoot and spend money here.

no, the gang banngers are not going to come here and shoot their guns at the range. that would be to responsible and gang bangers are not responsilbe people.

There are a lot of gun owners in van wert! They need to have a place indoors. We have nothing to do here. There are a lot of hunters, why not keep it local? It's a great idea, just being realistic. That guy will run it into the ground. No business sense, no former training, no major background in guns, etc. oh and a thief

Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws on the books. Chicago also has one of the highest murder rates in the country. You know why? Because criminals don't obey the law. The only people that don't own guns in Chicago are the law abiding. In Chicago they are known as easy targets. If you don't believe me, look it up for yourself.

Shooing ranges are boring: Can't shoot tanerite, water jugs, cinder blocks, birds etc, just paper targets. Build it like Kremler's in Celina with a gun shop. You can also rent handguns there for $2. Maybe rent out some nice automatic weapons then I will change my mind. Just a thought.

You would be well served to keep your slanderous comments to yourself regarding the people opening the range. Names were published regarding who the owners are so perhaps you should make your grievance known to them face to face like a real man would.

Maybe they will use the big pole building behind the center.
It is definitely big enough and they could just modify the inside to meet requirements.

I am SHOCKED to see the how low some people can be! Earlier comments about the folks opening the shooting range could not be further from the truth. Both of these couples are great people and I wish them all the best. Really great thing for VW and our entire county. Anything that brings folks to the area will help out.

I dont see why they dont buy an already standing structure to make a go of it. It doesnt take much room for a 5 or 6 lane shooting range.

If this guy is gonna build from the ground up I would strongly suggest modeling it after these guys.

I had talked with several people about the possibility of using the old bowling alley for a gun shop/indoor range. It's already been gutted and it is a cinder block construction. You could create 12 - 15 lanes easily. Problem is that Straley Reality and the owners have it over-priced.

Let me make this clear. I live in a town that has THREE TIMES the population of Van Wert yet my new adoptive town has LESS THAN HALF the number of total violent crimes than Van Wert has.

My new adoptive town happens to have a law requiring every head of household own a firearm with ammo and keep it in the house.

If you dont believe me just google search Kennesaw gun law and FBI violent crime stats per city.
