May 19, 2010 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Gun Tests

Our team said that CZ USA's Model 83 is a home run, and they also liked Sig Sauer's modern P238.

How can they do a comparison of 380s and include the CZ, but not the Bersa? The quality is just as good, and it costs almost half as much.

The SIG-551 is also available now at http://www.outlawbidder.com/categories/view/5... . This is a great penny auction site where you can name your own price for the items you bid on!

I own a Bersa Thunder 380. For the price (~$220), it is one of the best quality firearms you can get. The dealer I bought mine from said he couldn't keep them on the shelf. Easy breakdown, easy assembly, low recoil, very concealable, SA/DA (action similar to a Beretta 92FS). And after putting over 1,000 rounds through it, I have never had a FTF or FTE.

The only problem I ever had was the grip screws loosening up after 50 rounds or so, but nothing a drop of Loctite couldn't fix.

LOL. Grip screws won't loosen on a .380

The cartridge doesn't have enough power.

And exactly how would YOU know if MY grip screws loosened up or not, Noid?? Get that crystal ball fixed did ya???

There is only one screw holding the grips on either side and they are a small diameter fine thread. If you over-torque them, you will strip them out; hence, Loctite.

But keep talking about shit you know nothing about. You really are quite amusing. <not>

The only way a .380 can kill a human is if you hold it next to the head and fire.

To kill an attacker with a .22lr you need to fire the bullet into the ear (or the nostril), same as with a knife.

:o)

The only idiot I know who would promote or defend powerless cartridges is a cop lover. Oops, hey, you're a cop-lover.

For close up self-defense situations, shot placement is more important than caliber, Noid. And a .22/.32/.380 is better than nothing. More people have been killed by a .22LR than just about any caliber out there. The damage is done internally because the bullet has a tendency to ricochet around inside the body instead of over-penetrating and going through.

Do I "promote" under-powered cartidges for self-defense...No. I promote using the biggest caliber you can use EFFECTIVELY. If the recoil from a 9mm/.357/.45 is too much for someone to handle, they shouldn't be carrying it. If someone can put 4 rounds into a bad guy with a smaller caliber weapon as opposed to one round with a big-bore caliber (assuming they actually hit the target with the one shot)....which would say is more effective??

Keep coming with the stupid comments. You are only making yourself look more foolish.(and I didn't think that was possible)

You think the only way to kill someone with a knife is to stab them in the head?!?!?!?

You truly are a f-ing idiot.

Would you bring a .22lr or a .380 with you in grizzly country ?

Handgun bullets are lethal only .30-.35% of the shots fired.

Nope. And I wouldn't go quail hunting with a .50BMG either.

You promote tiny bullets because you don't want anyone shooting powerful bullets at cops. You know a .380 can't penetrate the body armor of cops.

Are you a member of the KKK ?

I carry a Walther PPK/S. It was my third attempt at getting a good .380 for concealment. I purchased an AMT first, it frequently jammed. Second attempt was the Colt Mustang. The Colt was OK but I couldnít easily pick up the sight. Finally I bought the Walther. I take it to the range at least once a month and can easily group at 3 inches.

You can get a loose screw on a .22.

The 9mm or .45 canít penetrate the body armor either. Whatís your point? My 30-06 pistol can. But, itís not very concealable and I would have to worry about over penetration if I needed it in an urban setting.

Neither can most handgun rounds, you f-ing dweeb. But they can do a hell of a lot of damage when they miss the kevlar (R.I.P. Officer Jarrod Shivers).

And what is with the "KKK", bullshit? Your argument can't stand on its own two feet, so now you are resort to ad hominem attacks?? Pretty sad even for the likes of you, Noid.
