The only tough decision is how they are going to allow Chicago guns - that of which they could never have before. Only the THUGS and GANGS have guns an the people are at their mercy. That is why there are so many killings in Chicago and then we have Rahm Emanuel who is an Obama looser as mayor and he also has NO idea what he is doing except hiding from the gangs.

There have been compromise Bills submitted for years by both Dems and Repubs. No one from Chicago would consider them until the 7th Dist Court struck down the ban on any form of carry in Illinois.
This year Phelps, a Democrat, from downstate submitted another Bill that has over 50 co-sponsors from both parties.
What Madigan is saying it is his way only, no other way is acceptable.
This is nothing more than thug politics by the Chicago machine.

The Madigan's have met their match with the 7th Dist Court - I believe if they do not have a bill in place by June 9th the CC is in effect and there is not much the Madigan's can do about it. I heard Lisa requested an extension until the 23 of June.

On June 9 without a State Law for CCW there will be a patchwork of local laws in place. While some areas while be common sense, others like will be over restrictive. It will be a mess.

Springfield is one city preparing a ordinance in case the GA fails.

What Lisa is doing all political. Her filing does not effect the time limit from the 7th, nor would it mean anything if a law was passed. It is all about the Governor race.

Call your reps, tell them politely how you feel and hopefully common sense prevails.

I have called Kay, Haines, and Beisner and then they told me they are for the CC. Kay is sending me updates as to what the state is doing politically.
