What the hell does THIS mean? You are better than I because I care for things othet than myself? Most insects I don't kill, so what? Why the eff does that make you and why do you care?
I can tell by talking to you that you are probably a city slicker who tries to keep up with the Joneses because you feel you need to impress people.
I have never used an exterminator or pesticides of any kind. They cause cancer! I don't have much lawn either. I maintain my yard for wildlife. Lawns provides next to NOTHING for most species but grubs and worms. I prefer a more diversified yard teeming with life of all kinds.
Bet I'm way damn happier than you too.
Iím a city slicker? Right, youíve yet to guess anything right. Keeping up with the Jones? Another idiotic guess?

The exterminator causes cancer? Possibly some of the chemicals used.

You maintain your lawn for the wildlife? Thatís another way of saying youíre too lazy to keep it up.

Youíre happier than I am? I doubt it, youíre too busy bitching about others killing coyotes.

No, they wouldn't. "Tree huggers" don't think humans should even be IN the park. "Tree huggers" are clueless about nature and how we humans fit into it.
You need to learn the difference between a tree hugger and a common sense environmentalist- which I consider myself to be.
Which tree huggers donít believe people should be in the park? You must be smoking a special blend of weed today. Youíre making less sense than usual.

You are a tree hugger. Deal with it.

A home is not an ecosystem. Why do you talk so foolish? There should be mice outdoors, where yes, they are an integral part of a healthy ecosystem. You probably kill mice if they get in your house. Coyotes too. I don't. I catch them alive and release them outside. Mice, that is. Do you seek out mice in the wild to kill?
I just came in to eat something. Ive been putting up chain link fence. I agree a home is not a ecosystem. Im also of the opinion my farm is not a ecosystem. the definition of a weed is any plant out of place. I think the definition of a varmit is any animal out of place. my farm is not the proper place for varmits.

I let the goats sheep & milk cow mow my yard. the chickens & geese eat the insects. My wife dont approve of letting the geese in the yard they poop a lot. If you have termites you can boil borax in water and pour it around your footings and any place you suspect termites. the borax will kill them.

We butchered 6 young roosters this evening.I chopped off their heads and dipped them in boiling water and plucked the feathers. I put the head,s feet and entrals ect. back in the boiling water. Its on a fire outside. I placed some traps in the water they so will get the chicken scent and be very effective. the pigs will love the chicken gut soup. six birds where harmed in this activity. One was a black feathered rooster. Damm Im having fun!!!

Ive just come in to get some lunch. I went and set my chicken gut soup scented traps & cut a load of firewood. And shot a squirrl to boot. Also I ran my trap line. Rather dismal catch a few varmits but not any coyote. fed the pigs the chicken gut soup they really enjoyed the succlent food. Im planning on butchering some tame rabbits later today. I will scent some more traps with rabbitt gut soup.

No, another way of saying it is I don't maintain lawn. My yard is registered with the NWF as a backyard wildlife habitat. My small half acre lot has attracted 120 different species of birds because I provide food, water, shelter and nesting sites specifically for wildlife. Lawn is good habitat for almost nothing, therefore I don't want much of it, though the dogs have a nice size lawn to run on. I have some woods, some wild unmowed areas, berry trees, evergreens and hummingbird/butterfly gardens. I'll bet this really irks you.

Surprise, surprise! I would agree with you on counts, Churm. The only thing I don't agree with you on is the method you use to keep them away.

We went to Mountain Home a few weeks ago. It's way too populated for me! The surrounding area does have some beautiful scenery though.

We stayed at Bull Shoals lake State Park. Very nice area!! If you ever go to Jasper, stop at the Blue Mountain Bakery and get one of their Cheesecake muffins. YUMMY!!!! I wish I could find a recipe for them.
