Stop back tracking you clearly stated seeing signs in public places advertising "we buy gold" now who do think that is? What are you a child?
In lots of states hundreds,if not thousands,of dealers hold precious metals and gem stone shows in convention center type forums to buy, sell and trade their wares just like gun shows, boat shows, car shows and job fairs.
This is a huge business and not reserved to some seedy little pawn stores like you have suggested.

Back in the 70's, we were safer because there were less guns on the streets. More guns made us safer? bahahahahahahahaha

I bet those 20 dead babies in Newtown feel REAL safe now.
There is not a word of truth here except " One day, you will die ".
This is nothing more then an emotion rant.

Back in the seventies McDonalds did not replace General Motors as one of the two biggest employers in the USA.

While Urban decay had started in many cities it was not at the extreme situation we have today.

Information technology companies were injecting hugh amounts of money in to the economy.

Made in China was not stamped on 90percent of the goods you bought.

There were less guns on the street , there is no doubt about that but the proliferation of guns on the street has come from criminals operating in urban open air drug markets and not from honest citizens who target shoot , hunt and have legal carry guns.

The large numbers of gun purchases we have seen in the last year have been a reaction to liberal members of Congress and the Obama administration wanting to infringe on the rights of the law abiding.

That may be, but if we wake up with a worthless dollar, that green paper will be slightly less valuable than Quilted Northern.
No argument here. But you selling your bullion isn't going to make a hill-of-beans difference in the value of the dollar. At least not compared to how many greenbacks the FED is pumping into circulation.

Exactly.
My gold is being held incase the day comes when the dollar collapses. If that happens, gold values will sky rocket, and be a major source of trade.
Bartering items are a good investment as well. If nothing happens, those items can still be used or consumed. If it does happen,:)

You would be smarter to sell it now for a substantial profit. Bank the profit. Then rebuy when it bottoms out (if you can time it right)
No, no, no ... he insists he does not have to sell his stash of gold to realize a profit!

It's places like coin shops, loan offices, individuals with side businesses, individuals that simply want to buy gold.
Sure, they may want to buy the gold for a few dollars less than the posted daily value, but its still a better deal than paying a broker to buy and sell for you. Not to mention, there is actual gold changing hands, not a piece of paper or an email confirmation.
We have a company in the area that advertises on the radio begging people to sell them their gold. It's not that unusual.

Actually I have first hand knowledge of what Im talking about. Guns sellers at gun shows are just exactly like precious metal and jewelry sellers off-the-radar shops and individuals too seedy for any true enthusiast. It takes a lot of time and legwork to find the handful of shops that shine with golden opportunities for buying good, affordable firearms. Even better, most of these shops have rare, antique, and even unusual guns typically only seen in books and museums. And best of all, the owners of these little shops are always friendly, knowledgeable people that make hanging out in the shooting community a real pleasure and further more, they all shun the gunloons!

By your logic, if the value of the dollar increases, one has to spend their money to realize that profit.

America have made us all safer? How
did they make the 20 babies in Newtown safer?

Your America is RIGHT HERE, stupid. President Obama is your master and you are the slave of the US Gov. just like the rest of us hardworking Americans.

More guns have made us less safe because many people, like you, are crazy and have no business owning a gun. If you don't have mental issues and you haven't committed a crime, you can have a gun. DUH! If you do have mental problems or a criminal record, you don't get a gun. If you are standing up for the rights of law abiding citizens then a back round check will have no effect on you or them so your argument is stupid and baseless. Apparently there is something in your past that you fear. Not my problem and not Americas problem.

The gun debate will be won by those with clear heads and common sense, something you guns nuts are not in possession of, whatsoever.

Yes, King Midas. Hold on to that gold and prepare for the race wars. Head on down to your bomb shelter with your gold, your giant jar of change, your Beef Jerky and your gun. The scary black President will never find you down there! We'll call you when it's all clear.

That is it ?

Same old crap.

I will give you one challenge.

If you don't think I have any right to own a gun come and try to take it from me.

Talk is cheap.
