Hey I realize that you are a very stupid person.
However, Star Wars was a great investment and it will come in very handy someday when it comes to dealing with an incoming astroids
It was a combined effort between Motorola and Honeywell corps
And it gave American jobs, and good pay and was well worth every penny

I'm pretty sure the Bush administration dismantled the Star Wars program because of it's excessive cost.

<quoted text>good point. Electric motors are good, poweer to size is better too, in smaller HP ratings. But you need a nuclear generator just to go fishing.
I think that wind and solar should be used more, along with hydro to power our homes and non industrial business, Not oil.
Trains are actually electric, with diesel generators.
You can easily get 200 HP from a 180 C I gas motor, and I miss the sound of normally aspirated motors anyway.

Have you noticed how our gov is wanting to have us more and more like Eurpoe?
High speed trains that no one will use.'smart' cars that virtually will not need drivers?
That's all fine and good, but not everyplace in the US is suited to wind and solar systems. Forrest and animal habitat would have to be destroyed to make them suitable. Hydro electric is in a bind during drought, which parts of the US has seen going on three years in a row now.

The energy sources you mentioned are fine as a supplemental or back up plan. Primary energy it is not. Not unless you level every tree in the country.

You actually are clueless aren't you?
Every expert on the subject has stated that oil WILL run out in the next 40 yrs.
Even if it does take longer it will be gone. Then what ya gonna do?
But that doesn't have anything to do with guns does it?
You present a lie. Where do you think oil comes from? Do you think more is not forming as we speak? Centuries of decomposition of organic matter is continuing at this very moment.
Present more lies, and call those who have facts on their side, clueless.
How Libertarian of you, liberal.

Everyplace?

No one pretends that alternate energies can go anywhere.

One of the reasons they are called "alternate energies".

They go where they are VIABLE, Sticky Lips.

Wave energy is not going to be a big hit in Kansas, and there's a good reason solar energy is a big hit in the southwest.

Forrest, eh? hate to see him destroyed...

There is a bank of solar panels posted next to the freeway here that runs the lights for the clover leaf.

I guess all those gorillas will have to find another place to live...

And look at the roof collectors... think of the animal habitat that putting solar collectors on top of the roofs of homes destroys...

Head firmly up your a-hole ain't ya moron! the world's hydrocarbon based economy will eventually change to a hydrogen based economy and crude oil will only be used by pharma and chemical companies! It's time you move out of your cave and join the 21 century.

forest and animal habitat is currently being destroyed for the population explosion. And for oil.Look at what all the artificial fertilizer has done to the watershed. Methaned water in Co. and Tx. Sucks when you turn on the faucet or garden hose and it burns.
Maybe the problem lies in to many people?
I read somewhere that for all the planet to live as we do in Amerika, it would take the resourss of three planets.
Something must change.

I never said is wasn't. My point is, if you are going to "go green" why would you choose a less efficient energy source that shares a lot of the negatives, of what you want to replace?

The wingnuz media have denigrated solar energy by denying its sustainability for years now, ignoring its successes, and arguing the U.S. should simply cede the solar market to China. Yet this booming industry has made great strides, and with the right policies can become a major source of our power.

Ignoring its success? Prove that toxic chemicals are not used in the manufacture of solar panels. Prove that toxic chemicals are not used in the batteries used to store that solar power. Prove that solar power is much less than 50% efficient. Prove that the cost of manufacture, maintenance, replacement, and environmental contamination, and clean up, are not higher than the minimal energy produced. Hell, prove "global warming exists!
