Remember, this is good now. If you question it, you must be a racist and bigot and need to be audited by the IRS.

Yes and just wait until inflation kicks in, all these young people that voted for Obama will have to pay the same rates of the 1970=1980's
18% on a car loan, and 11% on a home loan.

and then they will wonder what happened.

Then the praise they had for this Obama will quickly go away.

I could only get half way through that article. If someone would make a sensible argument for how control would save lives I will listen. Using the past as an example we see that making something illegal does not always solve the problem, and could even make it worse. Just read up on the effects of the prohibition of alcohol. Or go down to the Mexico border and see what our war on drugs has accomplished! It's a disaster that is killing scores of people everyday because people actually think you can control human behavior through regulation.

That doesn't scare barefoot. It has been reported hundreds if not thousands of times by numerous posters. Nothing ever happens. Most of us are pretty sure barefoot is a rogue topix moderator. It is probably laughing at the report you turned in.

Oh, I know them well. I agree. It still doesn't mean that because they think insults and propaganda win debates, we have to comply. My point was/is, there are people reading these threads that do not post comments. If they are on the fence or researching a subject, do you think they are going to side with an insulting mud slinger, or a source providing fact provider?

Nah, it will still be Bush's fault somehow.

The historical results of 'gun control'

Every genocide in modern history has started with gun registration, followed by confiscation, followed by genocide.

1911: Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Christian Armenians rounded up and exterminated.

1929: The Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929-1953, 20+ million dissidents rounded up and murdered.

1935: China established gun control. From 1948-1952, 20+ million political dissidents rounded up and exterminated.

1938: Germany established gun control. From 1939-1945, 13 million Jews and others rounded up and exterminated.

1964: Guatemala established gun control. From 1981-1984, 100,000 Mayan Indians rounded up and exterminated.

1970: Uganda established gun control. From 1971-1979, 300,000 Christians rounded up and exterminated.

1956: Cambodia established gun control. From 1975-1977, 1 million educated people rounded up and exterminated.

In the 20th Century more than 56 million defenseless people were rounded up and exterminated by people using gun control.

its going to be worst than that and we can thank the past congresses and adminstrations for not controlling spending and the National debt and like bruce bartlett said in his book "how G.W. Bush Bankrupt America and betrayed the Reagan Legacy" and which he is right it dont matter if its Republican or Democrat the chickens are coming home to roost as he calls it and the biggest screwup that Bush and the Republicans did was the expansion of Welfare Medicare Part D which added 7 trillion dollars to the Federal Deficit which wasnt paid for.

Topix looks for cleans hands and you (and your dozens of aliases) don't have clean hands.

I suggest you get inform before make a friggen idiot out of yourself! Gas prices are determined by many factors but mostly by world markets – not by Presidents or any other individual. The biggest single component of retail gasoline prices is the cost of crude oil. That price has been between $90 and $120 a barrel. With crude oil at these prices, a standard 42-gallon barrel translates to $2.90 to $3.90 a gallon at the pump.
The price components:
Crude oil 63%
Refining 16%
Taxes 11%
Distribution 10%
