Biden vows to 'beat the gun lobby' and pass laws

Jun 18, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Boston Herald

A scrappy Vice President Joe Biden vowed Tuesday to "beat the gun lobby" by ultimately passing stronger firearm laws and said some lawmakers who voted against background checks have privately told him they want another chance.

I'm not sure about you in particular, but so many gun nuts on these threads actually believe they are about to be attacked by the federal government, and must defend themselves with firearms.
Not only is this paranoid, but if that ever did happen, you gunslingers would be road kill in about five seconds.
Uh,it seems you libs have the lock on crazy shooters. With the exception of the Ft. Hood shooter all the mass shooters of the past few years were either lib or schooled/raised in a lib environment/homelife

In case you haven't heard there is a reading today of the names of those killed by "gun violence" since Newton. It is being held by that idiot group of Mayors aligned with NYC's Bloomingidiotberg. One of the names touted as murdered by "gun violence" was TAMERLAN TSARNEV..... You know, the Boston Marathon bomber killed in a shootout with police. What a bunch of shmucks. HA HA HA HA HA

Listen Skippy, obviously you are. Also you failed miserably to deny that you believe Military and Secret Service are "certifiable" and "paranoid". You are such a fcuking disgrace to America.
Your other post where you claim you have owned guns is complete and utter bullsh1t! Your posts with your anti-gun, anti-Second, anti-Constitution rhetoric only cements that FACT. In fact I am inclined to believe you have never even fired, let along handled a firearm. You probably are so damm stupid about firearms, like 99.99% of liberals, that you don't even know which is the dangerous end.
There are many gun owning libs. They also believe in the right to keep and bear. It is the loony fringe anti-gun freaks that push this agenda and it bites them in the azz every time. The politicians know it and it is only the ones either not running for reelection or have a few years until their next one(Dingy Harry Reid) that are pushing this new wave of stupidity.

How is Biden going to overcome the NRA and its money bags? I doubt it. There is also vast swaths of the country where people view guns as a civil rights. If you live in more rural areas, hunting and shooting as consider ways to pass the time and enjoy oneself.

I think urban liberals forgot about that and that is why so many people rural state get into arms over guns because you forcing them to give up their hobbies (which is guns).

AND...many others killed by Police Officers in the line of duty and civilians in justified situations. The "Mayors" have become pathetic, "frustrated control freaks" showing the extremes they will go to.

Thanks to mr. Obama and the loony left's foolishness the NRA is now over 5,000,000+ strong. And THATS just the NRA Not counted are the shooting clubs, collectors' societies and other firearms related organizations, many of whom's members AREN'T in the NRA but still support the 2nd Amendment.

You guys should post on a liberal site. The replies are truly enlightening. The level of hatred for opposing views is astounding!! How can anyone take Biden or Obama seriously. Must be their impeccable integrity. I truly question the intelligence of the masses as they are plunged into total dependence on the government. Now that's crazy! If you want to live as a parasite, do it in Europe and take Obama and Biden with you.

This response demonstrates the danger from the anti-freedom side. Based on lies, assumptions, and ignorance ("machine guns" are only possessed with a special license and cost $18,000 or more), the antis move forward to create a police state. Similar propaganda was once used by the Nazis to demonize a group of people.

Mr/Ms "Liberal", many will resist your attempt to enslave. Molon Labe - come and get them...

I think he was trying to give the impression that he is a successful businessman. Didn't work, but nice try.... Wonder why he chose a Euro car(don't like AMERICAN cars?)? Must be his desire for Obummer to mold America into a Euro type socialist country,

I still fail to see how that has to do with his claim of once owning guns.
He may HAVE owned guns in the past. BUT,convicted felons are prohibited from doing so. In that light he might be anti-gun since HE may no longer be allowed possession of them. And his thinking like most simple minded people is,"If I can't have one-no one can..... Nyaaaah!".

Thank you, I sent this thread and your response to a friend who has been on the fence about the NRA, and he and his wife and eldest daughter joined this evening because of it. They said "if there are people out there as crazy as this person, then there is no doubt that we need to protect America and our rights."

So thank you, your anti-American ranting helped the NRA get 3 more members today by pushing them over the fence.

From the 16th volume American Jurisprudence, Second Edition, Section 177:
"The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail". This is succinctly stated as follows:
"The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose;

I don't know why people assume all Black people are against firearm ownership. In my community here in Texas plenty of people own firearms and believe in the right to do so. No one out here trusts the police either as often they tend to gun down anyone who they see as a threat. Which is often poorly defined. Last september the HPD gunned down a one armed one legged man in a wheel chair because they thought his pen was a knife.
