All what has been tried for hundreds of years?

<quoted text>You seem to not like it here. You whine about where is my America, un-Americans, Feds, the goberment, taxes, bureaucrats, being subjugated, nanny state, all in just this one post. You must be a very miserable person.
If you take a cursory look at many of the founding fathers beliefs you will find the same concerns.

Heck even Barack Obama fears and some of his avid followers believe he can walk on water.

Well I suppose you're stuck in what you think 18th century America was like. No time machine though. Sorry.
I love it here. I can honestly say that I have achieved the American dream. Sometimes it wasn't easy, but the opportunities were always there for me to rise to the level of my abilities; for me at least. Not for everyone, I was among the lucky ones and, as a result, I've had a very good life. Time for me to give a little back to those who have been less fortunate than me.

I would not say the 18TH century as some of the founding fathers used Greek Democracy for inspiration.

<quoted text>BTW, any hunters that use a .223 semi - like the Bushmaster AR15- to supply "table food" would be better off eating road kill.
Just goes to show that you know little or nothing about firearms. The weapons YOU want to ban aren't restricted to the .223 caliber which, by the way, is quite capable of putting food on the table. There are semi-auto rifles chambered for .308,.30-06,.44,.222,.220,.270 ,.280 .243,.22, 9mm, 7.62 X 39, and probably many more that I can't think of right now. Many many of them are hunting weapons. They also all have the same basic operation and would all be affected by your silly ban. Calif. went so far as to designate the Ruger 10/22 as an "assault weapon" at one point. If I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for all of them to be registered and noted for future confiscation.

Then maybe you should leave because we have guns here and won't be surrendering them in this lifetime. That makes you unhappy, doesn't it? I hear North Korea has very strict gun control, you should like it there. They think the founders of America were a crock of sh!t just like you do, you'll fit right in. Hell, I'd even make a donation toward you travel costs. Maybe you could even take that other condescending pseudo-intellectual basket case with you.

I know. It's kind of silly just to ban ARs, but you take what you can get and grow from there.(I got a picture of some dude tromping around in Alaska on a moose hunt sporting an A10. Makes me laugh just to picture it.What's a .30-06 AR type, is that an M2? Ever see anybody hunting moose with an M2? LOL, how silly. Food for the table my arse.)

Ya gotta understand--the scrawnier the guy, the bigger the gun. It's compensation for what they secretly feel they're lacking.

Some of the most little bitty guys I've known have the BIGGEST guns......and brag about it so everyone will know.

The founders of America committed some egregious acts--genocide of the American Indian just to begin. We owe the settlers a debt of gratitude, but not eveything they did was admirable.

Barack Obama and Chief of staff Rahm Emanuel are Lifetime Members of the same Gay Club

Oh I'm sure you're a big, brave male, and you probably have lots of guns to prove that. Of course, you don't fear your guns . Why would you-- remember, guns don't kill; people.kill.
