As a former Chairman of a Friends of NRA Comittee, "God Bless all of them". If every gun owner put even a fraction of the effort into protecting our rights as these folks do, we wouldn't have a worry in the world.

The NRA is the best thing going for the USA. With out the 2nd amendment we would have no other rights.
The NRA is offering FREE 1 year memberships. Everyone who believes in Freedom should join today. http://www.ammoland.com/2009/03/31/free-nra-m... Any gun owners who are not a NRA members you are a disgrace and are freeloading of the work of others that protect your 2ndA rights. |

1 See there? If you don't give them money (and they will call you every day to beg for it and insult you when you tell them you don't have any to give) you are a "disgrace". Never mind the countless phone calls, faxes, emails, letters, etc etc etc. Apparently you have to buy your 2nd Amendment rights. Either give the money to the government or the NRA, less you be labeled a freeloader or disgrace. Nice. Way to win over future members. |

Foo, Foo, Foo: The NRA spends millions upon millions of dollars to protect the 2nd amendment every year in local, state and national levels, where do you think that money comes from? It comes from members. Either thru membership fees or donations. The NRA isn't a for profit company, its an association of members that care deeply about protecting the 2nd amendment and promoting the safe use of firearms. It seems you would rather not do anything just to avoid a little junk mail. When I worked gun shows and signed up members to the NRA as a volunteer, I saw thousands of people like you, they would walk buy with two or three AR15's or other semi autos on their shoulder, but would not spend the $25 to join the NRA to protect their right to do so, just because they didn't like getting a little junk mail. Gimme a break. That junk mail raises money, but its optional, you can throw it away. The NRA is ranked the MOST influential lobby in the nation by Fortune magazine. IMO, Money well spent. As a matter of fact, I'm going to up my Life membership to Benefactor just for you. Thank you for the motivation to do so. |

I was once naive like you guys. I really believed in the NRA throughout the 80's and into the 90's. Not anymore.

So Foo tell us what do you do to protect our 2ndA rights?
and don't tell me you buy and hide guns under your bed or write your congressman, because one voice alone is useless and if you are hiding your guns now we have already lost... |
