It's not a set back. It's a setup. You know that this bill will be tagged onto another piece of legislation that will require republicans to vote for in order to either pass it, or embarrass republican legislators.

This bill IS NOT dead. It may very well find itself an amendment to a "must pass" bill or some other slight of hand. It may also find itself slightly changed to try and garner additional votes.

No mans life or property is safe while the legislature is in session. That goes double for New York.

Obviously there are enough Senate Democrats that know this is nothing more than political fodder. Why bother, it will keep nobody safe. Stripping away the 2nd Amendment rights from millions will not affect the few crazy psycho sob's that are out there. If Feinstein wants to hunt, let her, and her armed guards, chase the psychos with equal vigor.
