Bc I own a gun does not take away nor add to my intelligence, and you not owning one does not add or take away from your intelligence. some people are better debaters then others, some took debate in high school or even college, some didnt, like myself. Does that make me stupid, no, it says I'm no debater. If you and I were traped in the wilderness, with or without a gun, I guarentee you that I would survive on the land, meanwhile you will be struggleing to find that last drop of water. The real issue is access of firearms by mentally ill persons. May i make a suggestion that persons being treated be required to attend their treatment programs and or take their medications. Persons who refuse to participate would be committed to an inpatient facility. Further the firearm law needs to be updated tp include persons in outpatient treatment.
YOU really DO NOT have a clue!
Prior to 1968 —in the U.S.— there were no laws which kept your favorite sub-class of citizen, the 'mentally ill', from getting, keeping, bearing arms.
Back then there weren't the violent shoot-ups, even THOUGH your 'favorite sub-class of citizen' had access to all them thar guns.
And back then, even the ex-felons could get their guns from anyone, anywhere, at any time, and from anyplace, including through the U.S. Mails, and from foreign nations.
Back then the violent crime rate involving guns was FAR LOWER than now.
So, gee, imagine that: All them 'crazy people' had guns, or easy access to them, and there weren't the mass shootings.
Now here YOU are, PUSHING DRUGS as if they were some kind of panacea.
Well, guess what? The following URL SHUTS DOWN YOUR argument, with a MIGHTY BIG S-L-A-M!

Well, certainly The President is NOT an "anti-gun" anything, but I was interested to read this:
Has Obama himself ever fired a gun?
"Yes," the president says, "in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time."
http://www.myabc5.com/story/20715948/obama-gu...
"The president says it's understandable that people are protective of their family traditions when it comes to hunting."
WASHINGTON (AP)- President Barack Obama says gun-control advocates should be better listeners in the debate over firearms in America.
Sounds very reasonable and sensible to me.
"Has Obama himself ever fired a gun?
"Yes," the president says, "in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time."

How interesting, seeing as how the dirtbag has NEVER been to that location since he's been in office!

No it cost you for the gun and the bullet and the trip to get said gun and bullet...it cost you the fuel and suitable vehicle and maintenance on said vehicle to drive to the forrest to find the deer and then your time waiting for it, it cost your time dragging it back and loading on the vehicle then driving home skinning and cutting up the meat and it cost you for a freezer big enough to store the meat and the electricity to keep the meat....it's cheaper and lest cost to get the supermarket to do it all. Then there is the clean up you need water and sovents to clean the car, the place where you butcher it....I forgot animals bleed...oh and the containers to store it in....let me think if I missed anything....mmmmmm
I love your determination, if only you were a few years younger, lol. Now, the fuel, nothing, killed the deer less the fifty yards in my back lawn. I already had the freezer, the electricity, I'd use it if I had no deer or not, vehicle, it never moved from my drive, the gun, it was one of my old ones and I've killed many of deer with it before so its already paid for itself, i butchered it behind the house tied up from a tree limb. so you see, it only cost the bullet, and thats bc I had to buy them bc I was out of bullets. You're a woman, you're not a hunter, and you're anti gun, I dont expect you to understand, thats what makes people different. As of right now, I have two six food freezers filled with meat, and it cost me practically nothing.

I would never willingly put myself in that predicament for a start and if I ever was...I was say going in a plane that crashed and I survived or car that broke down, I would endeavor to be well stocked up on health food bars(food) and plenty of water before I left home or raid the galley....So your point seems rather moot....does it not?

No it is not....it's called a supermarket....if we didn't have them that would be a necesity, but we farm our animals so you DON'T have to go and kill and hunt them yourselves...it is just your individual want to remain the hunter, when there is absolutely no need to hunt.Do you still churn your own butter or bake your own bread or build a fire by rubbing together two sticks...I don't think so!
I you remove the hunter, then you have wildlife over population. So I guess there's no need to fish huh? Idiots like you just piss everyone off, mind you're own Fu king bussnies. My guns,my hunting and fishing has no effect on you what so ever!

So what you are saying is all hunters are like you and can go out the back garden and shoot a deer? All hunters are like you and don't need a vehicle but not every hunter should be percieved as Alex Jones?...Regardless of whether you had the gun or not, someone bought it ....Still had to skin the deer, butcher it put it in some sort of glad wrap or container safe from freezer burn more cost...you had to buy the freezer which you would waste money running if it wasn't full of deer meat or some such animal because it must be a big freezer and the cost of the electricity is still a cost....still cheaper to let the supermarket bear the cost and very little down time....oh and the cost of the bullet....mmmmmm

that is the Idea of Capitalism to have a monopoly just like JD Rockefeller had on petroleum who could set & control prices, and if you dont like monopolies then you are a Socialist then because you want the government involved and want the Government to be the referee and that is not free market enterprise.

The freezers are six footers. Im not going to insult your intelligence by thinking you just believed what you typed. And I never said all hunters are like me, you're putting words in my mouth, you're good at that. And believe it or not, america is not one big city, we have plenty of wilderness, and most hunters live in rural areas here. And if someone knows what they are doing freezer burn is non-existant.

It did NO SUCH THING!
So, once again:
"The Sherman Antitrust Act (the full text of which can be found here) authorized the Federal Government to dissolve the trusts. It began with the statement: "Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, is declared to be illegal." And it established penalties for persons convicted of establishing such combinations: "... shall be punished by fine not exceeding $10,000,000 if a corporation, or, if any other person,$350,000, or by imprisonment not exceeding three years, or by both said punishments, in the discretion of the court."
What part of that is 'communistic?'
I patiently await your reply.
I gave you the link its obvious you dont understand economics and its beyond your comprehension level and example of Socialism rejecting capitalism.

I love to hunt, but you lie, I dont say I shoot a deer every day, why you lie like that? to make a joke, a point? I will gladly converse with you, but if you're going to resort to such tactics then I'd rather not. I have never shot a bear. BTW, when I do hunt, I always get my prey------that should tell you something. You figure it out.
