Nope Plant Lady, it was no fun at all...just looking at the costly damage. Someone was thinking of doing their own christmas shopping in my car. Ran out with my bushknife in hand as the dog was chasing the culprit down the street, dont think I would have hesitated in using it, but then thought about...what if the a-hole had a gun and here I am with my bushknife?? There are a thousand eyes in this neighborhood but somehow no one seems to "see,hear or know" anything. lol
Just very thankful now to have a good guard dog.

Well, Highlander that's what it is like in these neck of the woods, in THIS neighborhood for sure.
In a way I am glad the dog was there "first" and helped deter this culprit.
Who knows?? I could well be the one in jail for using excessive force if I had a go at this person and made chop liver of him.

Thanks FARII, I am thinking very seriously about getting that gun. First time this has happened and it makes me more realistic about the fact that it may not be the last. There are many desperate sickos, druggies and damn punks out there.
I tell you, probably if I ran screaming down the street, probably half of the neighbors wouldnt even know or give a damn at what was happening. It goes to show that I have to take charge of my own personal security...safety. The police may never get here on time, that's a risk / chance I cant afford and am not willing to take.
Well, I'm ready for 2009! Let it RIP!! LOL!

Heaps of thanks FARII for the links...LOVE ALL OF IT!! In fact I have downloaded the pics and am thinking of sharing it with my friends and the message that they gotta be prepared for the unexpected...or better yet to expect the unexpected. Yes, it surely hits home in a manner of speaking. This incident was a wee bit too close for comfort and a close call. However, the incident has sparked and reawakened a ferocity in me, that I have at least tried to keep under wraps,only because I know that there is no turning back if I no longer have to walk the line...especially if my survival....my life depended on it. Between the baseball bat that I have and the bush knife…I took the bush knife, sometimes I even scare myself. lol

I know you all may be thinking that I must have one mean ass(excuse lol) guard doberman pinscher,german shepard,rotweiler ,mastiff or pittbull as a guard dog. Dont laugh now you guys and gals hahahaha, but my little heroine is a female..mixed breed..chihuahua! One of the neighbors in the community must have abandoned her...left her behind and she showed up at my doorstep 7 months ago as I have taken her in after trying to locate her owners, nobody claimed her. She likes to sleep at the front porch in her lil basket lol. She may be small but fearless and mean as a razor LOL!! Cheers to little Coco hahaha!
