You’re right; it’s a fine shooting weapon. I have both the mini 14 and mini 30.
Richard & Lifer Couch should elope to some place where they could be happy together. Between getting out of drunk driving charges and the mysterious 50 State, DC & US Territory carry privilege they would be a formidible pair. I say we make it a shotgun wedding with crossed Elmer Fudd Wingmasters for them to enter the state of wedded bliss. Lifer Couch can wear his dress sweatpants with the brown racing stripe on the seat while Richard can be attired in a MADD shirt. They will have an incredible trousseau with Lifer Couch's unloaded rusty handguns and Richard's 14" barrel 870. May they always be happy.

I like my Mossberg 500. 20" and holds 8 rounds. It is right on target with my Hi-Vis snap on front sight. Easy to shoot.

What’s wrong with a Wingmaster? I own one with rifle style sites.
That's good for you, I have an 870LM that doesn't even have sites or sights, lol. It's a 10" door breacher, USASOC contract overrun. It's not pretty, but since it is a LM model, that leaves more Wingmasters, for your fuddy little wabbit hunting.

It speaks the proper language for sure.
Cha Chunk CHUNK cuts across all language barriers.
I have a couple different brands of pumpgun and they all work well.

Even if it were the only working gun you had left to deploy?
.
I can understand your remark in light of the possible results when one of those rounds goes stray, or passes through building material.
.
But, it comes down to: Which life is more worth saving. Would that be your own, or someone else's?
.
I will think that the idiots (cops, swat, etc.) don't much give a s hit about anything, or anyone else when they start their 'spray and pray' ops in the attempt to totally subdue their mark.
.
So, if they don't care, then why should you? Are you supposed to die to keep someone else from harm?
.
And if so, then why even have firearms?
It would simply be easier to grab my handgun in the event of a home invasion. Over penetration is an issue with rifle rounds and just because SWAT doesn't give a frig about innocent bystanders doesn't mean that we shouldn't.

I have an AR in 5.56 but it's only for worse case scenarios where you are dealing with a mob or rioters pillaging your home. Otherwise, it's considered too extreme in the eyes of the court. I also use .40 and .45 pistols as well as 12-ga. shotgun, which are my usual go-to home defense guns. There is no best home defense caliber. Each gun is suited to certain situations and environments.

Isn't that funny though... If you poke a little .223 diameter hole through someone with your scary evil black rifle the court will consider it too "extreme" but if you blow someone's head apart with your 12ga it is perfectly acceptable.

Unfortunately, that's the case since the shotgun is considered politically correct and a sporting weapon. But I do agree with you on that. I think the sheeple and antigun politicians are more concerned with firepower. Look at the AR compared to the hunting rifles. The hunting rifles cause more damage and have longer range yet are not demonized like the AR due to its tactical looks and firepower. And then they even have the gall to even call a semiautomatic AR and assault weapons.

And for some shooters that do not know how to hold it properly, it's been bruising shoulders for over 200 yrs.

Or whacking them in the face! Hold it loose & try to be cool. That will get you every time.
