I should have posted "correlation is not always causation."
.
If that's how you see certain convictions, that's fine; but no, they aren't even then.

Violent crime rates are not deterred or spurred by gun ownership. Guns don't cause violent crime, violent criminals do.
More BS from the BSer!
Prior to Florida's concealed carry law, rape was rampant.
But as as soon as that law was enacted, the rape rate PLUMMETED, RIGHT AFTER THE ACT WAS SIGNED INTO LAW!
No correlation there, right?

That is pretty sad.

1) The majority of teenagers are unarmed, and of course he had a reason for following him.

2) He was never told to stop following him.

3) Getting out of your car is what you do at some point after getting in your car.

I suspect you'll cite, "More Guns, Less Crime."

"The National Research Council, the working arm of the National Academy of Sciences, claims to have found "no credible evidence" either supporting or disproving Lott's thesis"

Firearms and Violence: A Critical Review (2004)". p. 2. http://books.nap.edu/openbook.php... .

National Research Council (National Academy of Sciences), Firearms and Violence: A Critical Review, The National Academies Press, 2005. Chapter 6.

Causation is not necessarily Correlation. Nothing scientific has proven your desired outcome. Your study is the modern N-Ray.

I would be open to an unbiased study that has been peer reviewed by an unbiased scientific journal. I'm not going to believe it just because, "I want it, I want it, I want it, MOMMY, I want it!"

It depends on what you're talking about. I suppose if Bush wasn't so bad, McCain would have been elected; so if you're trying to blame Bush for Obama, then I can buy that.

It's YOU who's been doing the 'spinning,' and anyone, I do mean ANYONE who gives credence to the NRC in that matter of gun control, when it is a KNOWN that the members of that council are ANTIGUN in the EXTREME? Well, I might only comment that that they (in this case YOU) are a bloody fool!

Just because you say it is so, doesn't make it so. The National Academies is an international group that is comprised of over 4,000 scientists that submits thousans of peer reviewed studies every year. but I guess since your blog written by a prepper alarmist says otherwise, it must be unbiased fact.

Take your own advice to heart.
And 'peer reviewed' don't mean shit when, when the review process is as corrupt as can be.
You don't know diddly about that process. I've seen the most excellent papers torn to shreds by reviewers with vested interests. Classic cases in point involve the so-called 'anthropogenic global warming (AGW)' fiasco, where scientists with decades of valuable and referable published research, were roundly denounced by the AGW cadre, if only because those scientists produced undeniable evidence that AGW is a complete fiction. Is Albert Gore your hero?
Another example is with naturopathic medicine, where doctors who refuse to treat their patients with drugs, and surgery, have been denounced as quacks and charlatans, if only because they refused to parrot the official AMA line, even though their papers were later shown to be totally correct in their findings, themselves which have revealed that 99% of 'modern medicine' is predicated upon using patients as walking ATM machines.
Peer review is only as good as the reviewers are honest, and without a vested personal interest bias.
So, DO NOT be tossing the 'peer review' bullshit at me!
