Now that's a disease.

What about this disease?

Did you know that more than 3 in 10 children grow up in broken homes and children from broken homes account forÂ…

--70% of those in juvenile detention.
--57% of all prison inmates.
--63% of teen suicides.
--71% of teen pregnancies.
--90% of homeless juveniles and runaways.
--71% of high school dropouts.
--75% of all drug users.
--85% of behavioral disorders.

"Of all children born to married parents this year, fifty percent will experience the divorce of their parents before they reach their 18th birthday.

Forty percent of children growing up in America today are being raised without their fathers.

Teenagers in single-parent families and in blended families are three times more likely to need psychological help within a given year.

Compared to children from homes disrupted by death, children from divorced homes have more psychological problems.

Seventy percent of long-term prison inmates grew up in broken homes.

Children of divorce, particularly boys, tend to be more aggressive toward others than those children whose parents did not divorce.

People who come from broken homes are almost twice as likely to attempt suicide than those who do not come from broken homes."

Owning guns is not a disease, it's a blessing bestowed upon all Americans by the founders of this nation. It's a blessing paid for by the blood of our soldiers. You can't take that away, I draw the line.

Wouldn't it be nice if millions of Americans began leaving America to live in these gun free countries ?

Huh ?

Remember when Europeans migrated here and created all kinds of really bad problems ? What happens when milllions of Mexicans sneak into America ?

America would be a much better place if the hoplophobes and gun phobes and gun haters left the country. And why don't they ? They tell us Europe is so much safer.

Shouldnt even be able to compare statistically. Finland was the closet country at 2 deaths per 100k.

-US Population 315 MILLION

-Finland population 5 million

So not only does the US have an additional 310 MILLION people but they have a much more diverse population which contributes to gang violence. Gang violence accounts for over half of US crime.

http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/FedCrimes/story...

Alot of European and/or wealthy smaller countries would be a similar comparison.

Japan which was included in the study has a suicide rate which doubles the US homicide rate.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/feb/24/j...

Also with Japan. The post World War II treaties DISarmed including their military. Japan and many of these wealthier countries tend to be smaller and much more homogenized which eliminates alot of ethnic violence. The geography is much more similar which makes the needs and wants of the population similar as well.

Has anyone taken a poll of how many lives are saved each year and how many criminals are caught, live, because someone had a legal gun and carry permit?

You forgot vaccines causing mental illness such as aspergers while they are under 3 years of age. Besides you 2nd amendment it not only vague, its obviously flawed. But gun junkies want to interperet it as a right to own an assault rifle. Did the founders have them? Addiction is a disease, guys like you have it, and need psychological help.

You need to educate yourself to what the Revolutioanry War was all about. The colonists had a large arsenal of weaponry that the British was coming to take away. The 2nd amendment allows me to have the firepower to not only defend myself from harm but to also defend my country from invasion. Google 3 percenters and you will get a better idea of what my rights as an American are. You should be thrown in with the bunch that needs to be tried for treason.

If our country were to be invaded all you could do is cry out for someone to save you and yes a gun owner would.

What did landing on the moon get you? Some rocks and billions of dollars spent. Why keep up with failure? A superpower that couldn't stop 9/11. Live by the gun, die by the gun.
