Thank you Joe for speaking the truth!!
We can always count on Joe to stumble upon the truth, in a clumsy sort of way.

Our politicians and the media do us a great dis service in the way they discuss violent crime. They blow up individual incidents which suit their agendas and ignore the un emotional hard facts. Regardless of what the media might have you believe FBI stats on violent crime show that both the violent crime rate and the murder rate have been cut approximately in half over the last 20 years. What we are obsessed with right now is the ar15 which is a small subset of a subset of gun crimes. Rifles account for about 3.5% of gun murders in 2011 and the ar is small subset of that.
When you drill into the stats you find that in 1992 we had a violent crime rate of 757 per 100,000 and a murder rate of 9.3. Now look at 2011, we had a violent crime rate of 386 per 100,000, murder rate of 4.7 per 100,000. Of course you won’t hear this from the media or politicians. When you look closer you will find that the violent crime rate and murder rate in cities of over 200,000 is double the national average.
I am tired of foreigners lecturing us about how violent we are too. Take a look at England and Wales where they are quick to tell us that their 2011 murder rate was 1.3 per 100,000 and they have strict gun control with fewer guns. What they won’t mention is though is that while they have a lower murder rate their violent crime rate is 3.5 times what ours was during the same period. They have a combined population of 56 million and suffered 762,515 violent crimes in 2011, which is a rate of 1361 per 100,000 compared to our 386.
I already mentioned the murder rate in cities over 200K is double the national average, take note that in the US we have 186 areas where the population is 200k or greater, in England and Wales they have 32. If our leaders really want to deal with violent crime nothing would do more than to deal with inter-city poverty, un employment and education.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. Joe is sort of lost at times and that's why I think he was picked for Obama. He can just nod his head when Obama lies like a programmed bobblehead....

The SandyHook shooter was an inner city poor person with no education?
The shooter at Virginia Tech couldn't find work?
You've really got a handle on the whold thing.

You don't read well do you? You can't get your mind off of school shootings which is a tiny fraction of gun violence, you should be more concerned with the day to day violence and its causes because it is the day to day violence which is more likely to touch your life.

Armed lunatics shooting the unarmed is 90% of gun crimes.
The other 10% is stupid people with guns.
Which one are you.
Stupid or Crazy?

Your question is a presumptive question which falsely presupposes the only thing I have done with a gun is commit a gun crime of some sort.
I only use firearms for lawful purposes and would just as soon be left alone by you types too scared to defend yourselves from the predators.
