Measure would force state's gun owners to buy insurance
Democratic lawmakers proposed legislation Tuesday that would require California gun owners to buy liability insurance to cover damages or injuries caused by their weapons.

Based on the number of gun owners (legal) in the state, the number of guns they own (legally) and the number of times those owners shoot someone it would certainly be a cash cow for the insurance companies.
Again, the people (criminals) that typically use firearms in a menacing manner won't have the insurance. Just like the insurance they don't have on their vehicles.
Another warm fuzzy feel good law.

this is just another scheme to gun control for the law abiding citizen and to put money in there pockets if criminals dont insure there cars what make them think they will insure there guns what are they going to do with the law abiding citizen that gets arrested for not following the new gun ban laws arrest them and release rapest and murderers on parol to make room for the gun owner this is bad.

You have it all wrong, the insurance is to compensate the victims and thier families for gun violence whether or not the shooter possess a policy. Gun violence will no longer be funded by the public, the victim, or the victim insurance but by the insured gun owners.
