Stutzman proposes concealed weapon law

Feb 8, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Republic

A congressman from northeastern Indiana is sponsoring a bill that would allow people who legally carry a concealed weapon in their home state to do the same in other states that allow concealed weapons.

Carry concealed.
You told us you are a resident of Indiana.
"Residents of reciprocal states who hold permits issued by their states of residence may carry concealed firearms in South Carolina, but must abide by the restrictions in the South Carolina CWP law."
South Carolina reciprocal states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
BINGO! You FINALLY figured out the peculiarity of SC as it pertains to my CHLs. You kept asking about property ownership in SC - that has nothing to do with reciprocity - it has to do with getting a non-resident permit. I am sure the "LIAR" posts will start but it has been worth it.

Now do you want to compare and contrast Resident & Non-resident permits vs. LEOSA and why some people would choose one over another? Should we compare and contrast resident and domicile states?

Even though you proceed your point and proved that barefoot 2626 hasn't a clue as to what they are talking about,, they will never admit it. My guess is that the personal insults will soon start. Good work on your part. Kudos!

Let's make sure we have tan EXACT quote- after cornering him with the list of what states honored IN permits... Doltz decided he had to add a few more (AZ & UT).

And then he declared we should see what was left...

When I said Maryland... he decided it was a New England state.

New Jersey isn't in New England either...

So he adjusted his list again.

And when asked about South Carolina... he suddenly remembered he had property there...

Let's look at his exact quote again...

I guess we have to wait until I finish listing states that aren't covered while he comes up with excuses that he just forgot to mention...

You seem to completely gloss (selective reading) over the first part of that post - the part that said "anywhere I would want to go I can without any problems." I don't spend a great deal of time looking into laws about places I don't care or plan to go. But when I went to http://www.handgunlaw.us/ which I suggested to you from the onset I noted the anomaly with SC. On post 84 I state "But keep slinging! You might get around to something right." This was the post I listed the states. The bait went into the water.

You stated (post 102)"Photobucket but I don't need a picture" so now you want photographic evidence? Talk about bouncing around for deflections! Do we go by what you said first?

Before you showed everyone the list you assumed was the inclusive list for me, you assumed I had an IN permit and only an IN permit (selective reading). I never stated I had one until after you showed your lack of facts. Only then did I mention the IN permit. I also mentioned the other permits to help you get on the right track. Then you called me a liar.

It was apparently below you to go to the link I provided. So I listed the states I couldn’t carry in. You stated ” PS: Majority is fifty percent plus one.( Post 68)” And I showed you were wrong. I still think you are rabid about the fact my vast majority statement is correct.

Please review post 60, 84 & 85 very carefully and read them in their entirety. Don’t tunnel vision – it gets you into trouble. Don't just pick one part of one sentence and suffer selective reading -it gets you into trouble.

You jumped onto SC because of the property ownership rule in that state. Sadly for you your tunnel vision was looking at the requirements for a NR permit. Please show the post I said I had property in SC.

Your assumptions, selective reading and tunnel vision certainly let you spin things can’t you.

Come up with your list and you will see all but about a dozen states I can carry. the "can carry" list includes all the states I care to go to.

A vast majority - HAHAHAHAAHAHAHHA (to coin a phrase you like).

Your selective reading skills are impeccable.

Now are you ready to discuss state of residence vs. domicile state as it pertains to CCW/CHLs? LEOSA and its pluses and minuses? And how a national reciprocity would fix the glitches in the broken system? But you probably don't want to because of your morbid fear of citizens being able to protect themselves.

Funny how you keep skipping over the part where I was right: that you have a IN permit.

Putting aside you haven't proved that.

I assumed nothing. You wanted to us IN as an example of states that had reciprocal agreements to say the such state gave residents coverage in most states.

And as I picked apart your statement, you found you needed a COMBINATION of states to be able to say you could carry in most states, and EVEN STILL: you continued to make false statements.

The typical CCW permit holder does not have permits outside of the states he/resides.

And you do not own property in South Carolina.

And you are a liar: everything you say is tainted.

You keep tunnel visioning on that (and just a few other things) you have yet to acknowledge the "anywhere I would want to go I can without any problems." part of the same post. You didn't prove anything except maybe to yourself.

Keep slinging though it makes you look good.

I did not mention the IN permit until after you inferred it - and I admitted rightly so. But you failed to read the part of the post (tunnel vision) that said "The vast majority of them do. I had to jump through the required hoops to get a couple of non-resident permits," so you can see I didn't "find the need" as a result of your tunnel vision. I found the need back when I began traveling a good bit (before you created your "barefoot2626" screen name).

You didn't pick apart my statement(s) as much as you picked and choosed the parts you wanted to remember reading. You DID assume. You ASSUMED I had an Indiana permit (rightly so). You ASSUMED I didn't have any other permits, and you were wrong. You asked for proof, I asked how to post pictures and then you said you didn't want pictures, then you did again. Your posts can do quite the tap dance. You said "List your three permits." on Post #78. I responded but your answer was "You can add all as many fanatasy permits as you like, doesn't cover the fact that you FLAT OUT LIED." I don't know what a FANATASY is but I read the context and intent of your post (something you can't do you become the grammar and spelling police).

There are likely more people with multiple state CHL's than you think or will admit there are. It is because of the quiltwork of differing rules. Which is why a national reciprocity would help (but not in the minds of those in fear of defensive use of firearms). As I have said before, I am sure glad we don't have to get multiple driving licenses to tour this country.

I NEVER said I owned property in SC. That is something you drug in and asked when you were on the wrong track. You have called many people liars on the different threads. Most of them haven't lied probably. It is your safe word when you start your name calling.

I have made several statements but you choose to not admit they are there. You have proven nothing except your keen ability to use tunnel vision, selective reading and picking/choosing what suits you.

If there was a "silly" meter here yours would be pegged. Keep that catnip coming!
