A criminal got what was owed him for going after a retreating and armed victim, dead. The anti-gunners and 2A haters would have rather seen a chalk outline of the pharmacist after the thug murdered him.

"It is very extraordinary that there has not been express provision by statute to secure the arms of individuals against all claims of every description. It has been comparatively but a few years since the first settlements of Americans were made [581] in Texas. The whole country was then infested by savages. Subsequently there were hostilities with Mexicans, and the frontiers are still exposed to the incursions of Indians. The country has been settled, and still is settling, by, in a great measure, the force of arms. The people of Texas are now, and ever have been emphatically an armed population.

"The right to bear arms has always been considered by a free people, as of almost priceless value; so much so, that it is secured by an express provision of the constitution. The right of citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and of the state or republic, is declared by the constitution of Texas. And by the constitution of the United States it is declared, that a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. If militia laws were enforced, a citizen appearing without arms on the muster ground, would be fined for his delinquency."--Hemphill,[ John] Ch[ief] J.[ustice],[Reports of Cases Argued And Decided In Th Supreme Court of The State of Texas, During The Latter Part of Austin Session, 1856 And The Whole Of Galveston Session, 1857. By O.C. & R.K. Hartley. With Notes To Other Decisions. Vol. XVIII. St. Louis, MO.: The Gilbert Book Company. 1883.](John Hemphill (December 18, 1803 – January 4, 1862) was Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court, and a U.S. Senator).

U.S. Constitution, Article II of Amendment, "Restrictive" clause:

"The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms shall NOT be infringed."

Why are you and your fellow treasonous trolls crying and screaming to have our right infringed upon? Why do you perversely use deflective BS in the vain attempt to draw people away from the MAIN topic at hand?

"To retain it in the Treasury, unemployed in any way, is impracticable. It is, besides, against the genius of our free institutions to lock up in vaults the treasure of the nation. To take from the people the right of bearing arms, and put their weapons of defence in the hands of a standing army, would be scarcely more dangerous to their liberties, than to permit the Government to accumulate immense amounts of treasure beyond the supplies necessary to its legitimate wants. Such a treasure would doubtless be employed at some time, as it has been in other countries, when opportunity tempted ambition."--President Andrew Jackson, MESSAGE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, To Both Houses Of Congress, At the commencement of the Second Session of the Twenty-fourth Congress.[APPENDIX TO Gales & Seaton's Register. Pg. 3.]
