I don't remember when but before 9/11.
I don't want passengers armed in airliners anyway.

Do tell: How is an airplane any different than a bus, train, taxi, public street, or other place?
And, are you afraid of the armed clientele in restaurants, theaters, and other locations?
Insofar as to when guns were banned:

How many millions carry firearms regularly? How many forget they're carrying when approaching a check point?

I nearly carried into a post office once. I remembered just as I was opening the door to walk in. Carrying every day you become accustom to having it and forget about it. No criminal intent.

Thats a little different than flying. I could understand forgetting while at church or the post office.

It should be up to the airline as a private entity to decide.

You as a consumer can vote with your dollar.

Is that person any more dangerous on a plane than in a post office? Does ordinary citizens suddenly become cold blooded killers because of location? You have probably stood next to a CCW person more than once just on the street so why fear them just because of a different place? I carry daily and I bet 99.9% of those around me have no idea that I am. If I didn't shoot you in WalMart why would you be afraid I would at the post office or on a plane?

If only that were the case. Itís not. I believe the ban began with the 1968 gun control act.

I stopped flying as well. Has nothing to do with no firearms on the aircraft. I stopped flying when they became stupid with theatric security.

YOU and your antigun buddy are communists.

This is hilarious ! Oh the posers that come here and copy and paste ! LOL !

What happens when guns are banned ? LOL ! Anyone who posts here regularly, knows what happens when guns are banned.

Wait a minute, someone help me up off the floor.

How many were killed in the biggest gun free zone and what day did it happen ?

ANSWER: On Sept 11 2001, nineteen Arabs hijacked three gun free zone passenger aircraft and murdered 3,000 Americans. They did it by obeying the gun ban on commercial aircraft.

And this so-called progun poster (poser) wants to keep passenger aircraft gun free. The only Americans who think like that are the police. Police are not safety experts, they're safety hazards.

What are the escape options on a plane? What happens to the plane if a gun is fired? People get drunk on airplanes all the time, all you need a a minor dispute. I hope you are not serious. How many cops are on the plane to serve out justice?

No, it's not easy. I carry everyday. You are going to a friggin airport, common sense people. Is it easy to forget you have nail clippers, sure. Easy to forget you have a 9 mm on your hip, eff no.
