I wanted to make myself very clear to everyone that I had two of the new mags so it is not a problem with having the old mags, and I am only talking about the 24/7 pro in .45 i have never had any of the other cal.

Larry, As you said, the mags that come with the 24/7 in .45 cal are pure junk. I picked up several from CheaperThanDirt (mags) and more feed problems. Now, if I ccould get it to shoot proper like my .45 Colt, 2 Sprgfields, Llama and Ruger!!!
I have shot all of them the Israli combat style in competion and for kicks upside down (possible necessity) and I have no stance problems.

Larry, I should /meant to say "NO MORE FEED PROBLEMS"-sorry! I keep my 24/7 in my night stand and with my lite-attachment and if I can not hit anyone with it, I would scare the hell out of them with 12 rd burst. Using it for a paper weight was one of my earlier statements but it cost too much for that purpose.

I just purchased the PT 24/7 Pro in .45 ACP. Unfortunately I did not research this gun well before buying. I picked it up this morning and am contemplating just taking it back and getting the SAXD in .45. Most of the negative posts seem to come from sometime back. Is it possible that Taurus has fixed the feed problems? I need to compare my mags with the photo posted by marvin. Are there any new owners out there that are getting good results???? Please let me know as I won't be able to shoot mine for a few days at least. Maybe it's not too late to return it!!!

Taurus
24/7 pro .45 cal.
Bought the DA only model, gun discharged without a person pulling the trigger and now two were shot, one is now cippled, other has bullet in them. May have been due to LDA trigger pull. not sure but would love to find the culprit...

hello all I bought the 24/7 also in .45 and have had nothing but problems. the ones that say they have had no problem then they are very lucky or taurus is writing on some of these posts!!!!! I do not believe that the problem is with the gun itself but with the lousy mags that are with the handgun(yes, yes I know what some of yall are going to say but I looked and these are the new mags not the older ones). this weapon is good for one shot and then you will have to give a well placed lob up side the bad guys head if the 1st shot misses. I traded mine in for a GLOCK 23 and have had no problems what-so-ever. Taurus had better get it together or they are going to lose even more customers. I WILL NEVER BUY A TAURUS AGAIN!!!! People work too hard for there money not to get a handgun that will protect them!

I also bought the 24/7 pro .45... May have been a bad choice as it was and still is the only pistol that I own.(more of a rifle and/or shotgun user)I thought that carrying my 12 gauge around might give some folks the wrong idea:) Now for that darn pistol, I have only shot about 100 rounds through it and surprisingly it does not show the same problem as everyone else it loads great(: sort of, the Slide Catch Lever does not engage after the last shot, say 90% of the time... what in the hell? Do I need to season it with more shots, oil it, saw off my tactical shotgun and give up? someone please help

I bought my 24/7 pro in .45 cal last week. I've put 500 rds through it and have not had a single problem. Nothing but smooth accurate shooting.

Nice guns. I have a Bersa .380 right now. Looking for a .45. The Bersa Thunder .45 is on my list.

Buying a Springfield XD9 for my wife for her birthday, so my .45 will probably wait until May or June.

I have a Thunder 380 CC.(My carry gun) A fine weapon but not in the same league as my XD-45. One feature I especially like is the built in safety on XDs. A child cannot fire it, no matter how hard they try.(don't worry, I won't give them the chance)

My 2 cents of Taurus. Own 357 snubby wheel gun, PT92 (M9 clone), pt 111 (9mm), pt22 all Taurus. Never had a problem. Compare these gun to others I own sw99, para ordance 9mm, sw 40ve, cougar 8000 and several rugers. Good value for money.

I have a taurus pt111 9mm and love it.I do have to watch my thumb for it tends to hit the mag release while i shoot.Totally my fault.I just bought the 24/7 45 cal. Have not gotten to even do the first break down and cleaning as i was instructed to.I feel was the decider for me.
