I have never been asked by a physician about car seats, bike helmets or if I locked up cleaning supplies. Nor if I use ladders, hammers, power tools, drive a car, climb trees, sky dive, scuba dive, mountain climb or any other activity that could hurt or kill me.

They are attempting to vilify people who own guns. Seems I saw a clip of Holder saying just that about 10 years ago. I believe he said to make owning a gun as bad as being a smoker.

I was sitting in a doctor's office in NJ with a family member and an elderly couple was filling out an input form together speaking each question in-turn. I couldn't help overhearing when they hit upon the one about keeping firearms in the house. They didn't give it thought and checked the NO box and moved on to the other questions.

As Shelly said, there are a helluva-lot more dangerous things to worry about than keeping a firearm. Doctors have no business asking, and even if they do, we-all have the right of privacy and can surely say "sorry, that information is private". Or simply skip these type questions.

We are too eager to please our servants and need to remember just WHO is the Master. These people work for US, WE make the rules and WE ask the questions. THEY answer the questions.
