Fact check:
False. Bad guys with guns have been stopped in a multitude of other ways - from simply being tackled to being tased. The above quote is nothing more than a simple-minded platitude designed to rationalize unregulated gun ownership and fire up the gun nut base.

So you took the bait..........

Yes only a good guy can stop a bad guy and no law will ever stop anyone from buying any gun they want

But people that are not smart enough to not be scared of a object will want the object banned

ROTFLMAO
Are you saying the black thugs in the ghetto run a background check on the guns and crack they sell???

Or are you saying that after not passing a background check they are stopped from buying guns on the street?

Here in Mexico where is is illegal for any citizen to buy or have any military weapons a AK or AR sells for under 500 dollars
The last AR style gun I built in the USA I spent 3k dollars on

Go to any street corner where you see animals hanging out on the corner and any thug can buy any gun

No law will ever prevent anyone from buying a gun.........

<quoted text>"Let’s break down the numbers, shall we? So they claim that the background check system has denied 2 million gun purchases since 1993. According to President Obama, in a speech on Jan. 16 that number is actually 1.5 million, so we've already lost 500,000 denials.

The FBI reports the NICS background checks have only had 1,065,090 denials since it was put into use. Of those, about 23% have appealed because they felt they were wrongly flagged as a banned person. There have been approximately 66,000 successful appeals, so the real number is around 1,000,000 denials for the background check system, half of what the Brady Campaign and gun-grabbers everywhere claim."

Even if it's 1 million instead of 2 million - the point still stands: laws stop people from buying guns. Claiming otherwise is not only false, it's just silly.

Nothing racist about it????
It is a fact

Head to the country and you will find white trailer trash doing the same thing except the drug changes from crack to meth

Other areas will have Latino gang members.....

Simply stating facts so maybe you should not make assumptions as I am not white.......Nor Latin

The law has stopped nobody from buying a gun.
Maybe slowed down the process but not stopped....

Using your logic if a person walked into a casino a plopped down a dollar into a slot machine and did not win did that stop him from ever winning?

Dan you are splitting hairs and only giving half truths.
The law may have stopped 1 million, 1 time, attempts to purchase a gun, it by no means stopped them from buying guns on the black market.
Thank you.

Laws stop people from buying guns.

Simple to prove

Has laws against drugs stopped people from using them?

What has the laws in Chicago done?

Anyone can buy a gun any day of the year if they want one and no law will stop that

The comment is objectively racist, regardless of what race you claim to be.

It has stopped some people from using them. Fewer people use illegal drugs because they are illegal. This is established fact.

They have reduced violent crime.

But laws do stop some number of people - Brady has stopped over 2 million. Saying that laws don't stop people from buying guns is simply false.

White trailer trash
Latino gang banger

Are not racist phrases

The use of pot has drastically increased after it was made illegal.

Do you really need me to post a link for you on this?

You are wrong again about Chicago as violent crime have risen. Google crime rate in Chicago for the last century.

As pointed out your two million number is way off and you know it but you just keep slinging the lie..,......

No law will ever prevent anyone that wants a gun from getting it. At the best the law will delay the purchase

No different than saying if you pull the arm on a slot machine and don't win the first time then you are stopped from winning
