But calling out the "Military types" to "shoot gun nutz down in the street"...or "pushing" them into some type of "camp"...is your "solution"...interes ting...

BUT...tell me again how you are NOT "a frustrated control freak".

Funny stuff, though.:)

<quoted text>As was said in many of my posts little boie, It's more than a bumper sticker, When the government comes for your guns, what are you going to do to protect yourself? If the government controls the firearms, they control you and the citizenry. If you and the general public have firearms you control the government, as it should be. You inform yourself why the Second Amendment is the Second Amendment, read books on the beautiful U.S. Constitution written before 1930. For goodness sake inform yourself with something other than the liberal pablem, they have been feeding you. Quit listening to liberal teachers, who themselves were taught by liberal teachers, inform yourself.
No, "when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns" is a bumper-stick. It's meaningless to the real gun debate, which is over reducing their number and keeping them out of criminal hands. It's Wild West bluster and BS. PERIOD.

My possessing an old hunting rifle and antique pistol does not "control the government" in any way, shape, or form. IF they were truly oppressive, they could indeed come for my or your guns, and there's not much you or I could do other than fight back and be killed.

The way a Republic works is that we all elect leaders who vote on issues and pass laws....which are interpreted by the courts. If this structure breaks down, as you Righties want it to, there's no safety for ANY of us. ONLY in the laws and courts can we have a civilized, orderly society. Guns do NOT guarantee that, and in fact make the situation WORSE by increasing civil conflict.

I repeat - the SEcond Amendment is OUTDATED and now more of a danger to Americans than a blessing. Deal with that.

Get bent.
You are a simplistic observer. Most guns are contracted to be made by the governments around the world. The Israeli army is having hundreds of thousands of receivers made right here in PA. Cut the crap prof.

Which contradicts my post how? I said that manufacture for sale abroad was a likely alternative, in case you didn't bother to READ my post.

How will demand go down? Our military contracts our own machine shops, the fact that I mentioned the Israeli army doesn't discount the fact that we build for our own government. Once again, how is that going to change the volume of weapons on the planet? You profess that total elimination of guns is the answer. That will never happen, and nobody in their right mind in this country will turn over their weapons for some stupid idyllic concept that makes us sitting ducks. What's with This administration buying ammo up like there's no tomorrow? Maybe there isn't.

Demand IN THE U.S. will go down, idiot. I'm not as concerned with the volume of weapons on the PLANET as in the United States.

NOWHERE have I "professed that total elimination of guns is the answer," incidentally. PLEASE stop making up crapola and attributing it to me.

You freakin lying troll..."Banning the NRA, repealing the 2nd amendment, and instituting harsh gun regulations in America to take guns off the streets and out of homes are the solutions we need. Something with teeth, not something intended to make the problem worse." This is your statement, fool.

And yet somehow you're missing the "take ALL guns" phrase you're falsely claiming I used, aren't you?

LOL

Always funny to catch a Rightie reading into a post something that's not there.

To clear it up for you, I do NOT favor banning or removing ALL guns from public hands. I favor repealing the 2nd Amendment and instituting strict gun laws along the lines Australia enacted a decade or so ago, successfully.

FYI, toad.

One Part of that "Republic" you talk about is our Constitution and the protection of the rights of the minority against the will of the majority.

"ONLY in the laws and courts can we have a civilized, orderly society."

ONLY so long as they protect ALL of the "RIGHTS" of ALL of the PEOPLE from encrouchment and the laws they pass are in compliance with the Constitution.

"Guns do NOT guarantee that, and in fact make the situation WORSE by increasing civil conflict."

Well that's just BS according to the FBI Uniform Crime Report and is NOT a "fact". Violent crime has been going down since the 1990's and the number of guns has increased along with the number of States (49+1 working on it) that allow open and/or concealed carry on their streets. So your "Chicken Little, the sky is falling" because of guns crap...is just that...more of your ignorant, lying, POS, "frustrated control freak" BS.

Yeah...we do that all the time with you "frustrated control freaks"...but we do know you don't want to "take ALL guns". You want to keep yours, of course, and others that only you approve of.

Once you get that "Inconvenient 2nd Amendment" repealed by "pushing the gun nutz out of the way"...still not sure HOW you think you're going to do that...of course you do have those "camps" you were talking about to put those gun nutz in. You still haven't answered my question...are they "re-education camps"...or just plain "internment camps"...?

OH...and let's not forget that if someone "pushes back"...of fails to comply with your instructions...you want to "Call out the National Guard to shoot them down in the street".

With all those types of progressive advancements, that should put you right up there with Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and Hitler.

Australia has now taken it to the point that citizens can't even own knives. Get a clue, once the gubmint gets that kind of power, there is no stopping them from total and complete power. Wake up!

As a Rightie, I'm afraid you'll NEVER understand why it's necessary for governments to control some aspects of societies, including law and order, which in turn includes weapons possession.

Americans just can't get out of the revolutionary mindset, even though most would never DREAM of rebelling agaainst the established social order, much less government troops.

And conservatives - please! You guys SALUTED the government when it was crushing student rebellions in the '60s and early '70s. What hypocrisy!

Government has a purpose, it has just become too big for it's britches. It is not up to a group of politicians who reside in ivory towers to decide what are legitimate weapons and what aren't. Your social order and mine are completely different, you are supporting the thuggery this government perpetrates on law-abiding citizens. When laws are established to bind those that follow the laws due to a failed justice system, that is disorder and needs to be addressed.

Law and order? Don't make me laugh. Law and order are not mutually exclusive to the governmental powers. Those very powers were the type in charge of Germany in WWII, in charge of China and Russia under communist rule, under King Henry the 8th during his bloody reign. This nation is what it is because of the 2nd amendment. You are so far up the gubmint's ass, you're licking their friggin tonsils. Get over yourself, we aren't free because of government we're free because of US!

Newly released search warrants show that James Holmes's psychiatrist, Dr Lynne Fenton, had told police he was a danger 38 days before he killed 12 people in a Colorado movie theater. Lanza's mother tried to have him committed, her please were ignored by the very powers you objectify. Is that what you would call LAW AND ORDER, nutty professor?

Wrong fool. Our right to bear arms has kept this greedy, conspiring gubmint at bay. Those who believe in this right and sit in power, such as 2nd amendment supporters in the house and senate along with the NRA have aided in keeping that freedom sound. You are NO American, you are a commie in sheep's clothing. Yes, you believe that our gubmint is the all powerful provider of our freedoms and safety. Get a clue. Gubmints are ALWAYS the ones starting conflicts, not the joe shmoes who work every day to support their families. Duh! Keep licking the gubmint's boots, that after all, that is your only source of ill-gotten gains.

Your anti-Americanism stinks to high heaven. Like most Rightie nuts, you pretend to worship the Constitution but hate the government, a ridiculous contradiction in terms.

You've never done a thing in your life to counter the actions of the government, but you sure like pretending to be a big, bad, revoluationary type, don't'cha?

LOL..as if!
