last time i checked, background checks are already required for non-private (from ffl holder to buyer) transactions at gun shows.

also internet sales do require a check when you pick up the gun from the ffl holder it must be shipped to by law

I oppose expanding background checks. Enforce what laws exist and fix the justice system. Prison terms for violent gun crimes are a joke. Bernie Madoff got 7 life sentences and killed no one. Murderers get out in as little as 10 years. Guess we know what the priorities are!!!

all the govt. cares about is money and and control and it shows.
as far as i am concerned the background check bill was just to get RID of gun shows and internet sales altogether.

The correct reply to that question would be: They pulled their poll results from their nether regions! Note the 'brown tinge'...

I learned a long time ago to never believe the polls. If a pollster wants to get a certain answer to their question they will poll that certain part of the country or area to get the answer desired then make it seam as it`s a national consenus.

And by the way atleast here in CT thats being run by a Socialist Progressive with Republicans in sheeps clothing, there are more anti-gun control advocates as demonstrated by rallies here then support it.

The will of the majority of law abiding people means nothing anymore in this state, as noted by the recently enacted gun control, much if not all will eventually be thrown out by the courts as un-constitutional.
