Will these people never learn? It is that pesky 2nd Amendment thing. They are forever trying to challenge the gun laws, and they cannot win. I think it is funny. If they want to spend money for an impossible defense of gun control, oh well. But they always come away defeated.

Actually it all comes down to the SCOTUS interpretation of the 2nd amendment.

Currently there are 5 justices who believe the 2nd amendment provides an individual right to own a gun, while there are 4 justices who believe it doesn't.

If the SCOTUS gets a 5-4 liberal majority, there goes the individual right.

So for now the individual right to own a gun will be upheld.

For now...

To reiterate- the individual right to own a gun exists only as long as there is a 5-4 conservative majority on the SCOTUS.

Kennedy & Scalia can't live forever.

Just another reason the liberals will be going all out to win the presidency in 2016.

Ah, I get it, Roe v Wade stands in the face of this "conservative majority" only because they respect precedent.

The Heller decision doesn't stand a chance because a "liberal majority" will only respect ideology......

Correct?

Only because Kennedy happens to support abortion rights as well as gun rights.

Replace Kennedy or Ginsburg with a Scalia-type conservative, and Roe is gone as well.

Just another reason the Dems & liberals will go all out to win the White House again in 2016.

Nope, as I said before, Roe stands only because Kennedy happens to support abortion rights, leaving the "conservatives" only 4 votes to overturn Roe.

Do you honestly think Scalia or Thomas or Alito or even Roberts would blink if given the opportunity to ignore precedent and overturn Roe?

Be honest now....

The Conservative Judges on the Supreme Court only have to live another 907 days, and by then Gingsburg will be falling over dead, and we will have a 6 - 3 Supreme Court. Obama wants Ginsburg to retire, but so far she is saying, No Way.

Hilarious!

Let's check the track record on "opposition" to SCOTUS nominees vs. party, shall we?

Yes and the four are swayed by ideology and not the constitution. The first thing a dictator wants is subjects, not free citizens.

Roe was not thought of for 200 years, till liberals started buying judges.

It's only 90 days sweetie, and no you can't get one approved in that time, even with a phone and a pen.

Hey chief

The SCOTUS can't throw out an amendment - only a supermajority of states can do that.

The several governments can REGULATE individual right to own, but not ban it.
