As hateful, disgusting, nasty, rotten as Bundy, and his remarks are you overlook something important, he has a right to his opinions. He has a right to speak out. Obama's New America didn't work. It didn't catch on. The spying will be stopped, and the mind control will be halted, and liberals, and conservatives will be as hateful to each other as they choose.

Just another Republican, not saying anything most haven't said. Of course, most Republicans look over their shoulders first... except when they are safe like here at Topix.

You must have used that logic when you voted for Barack Hussein Obama?

That is the funny part. It is hard to find anyone who will admit voting for Obama these days. 37% of Americans think Obama lies all the time, and 24% think he lies most of the time. No wonder he is in hiding these days. At least if he is hidden away he cannot do too much damage. He was certainly not prepared to be President of the U S.

That's funny.

It is harder to find anyone who will admit voting for draft dodger Romney the day after the election.

And people who find his racism repugnant also have the right to their opinions. They also have the right to speak out.

Mind control? LMAO! Try to be serious.

I never said you made that claim, did I? I was talking to Patty.

Unless you're Patty. That would actually explain a lot. LOL!

Freedom of expression was once a cherished principle of Americas liberals. It's not anymore.
Bundy just asked a question and was made an instant pariah. There is no difference whatsoever between the repressive, conservative 1950s and today. Back then the rule (publicly) was God, country, morality and if you even questioned those notions you were the scum of the earth. Liberals spoke in hushed tones when challenging the prevailing social standards and said that their opponents were repressive and not open to any ideas except their own. Well society has morphed and now the rules of society are set by the liberal left. What has changed? Nothing. You still can not speak freely without fear of demonetization. You still suffer serious retaliation if you rock societies boat. The only difference is that now instead of the brutish, repressive conservatives trying to squash any politically incorrect thoughts they dislike it is the "enlightened", open minded, liberal left that is trying to crush any dissent and claim the moral high ground while they sling mud, slime and attacks. Bundy is a dumbass. His thinking is wrong-headed and he's a fool. Not unlike most of his detractors. He was right about one thing though. Welfare and social give away programs destroy those who give the support (taxpayers) and those who receive it.

Whenever someone expresses himself in a morally repugnant way and others express themselves to condemn and shame him - freedom of expression is America in alive and well. It doesn't reveal a problem. It reveals moral healthiness.

In the 1950s, people where condemned and shamed by a society whose goals were to marginalize racial, ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities.

In today's society, people are condemned and shamed for perpetuating those ignorant stereotypes that were the majority opinion in the 1950s.

IOW - society has evolved and advanced, and those who are stuck in the ignorant, bigoted past are being appropriately condemned and shamed for it.

The statement is accurate and correct. If you can refute it with evidence or logic, please do so. Until then, it stands and you're just a childish name-caller.

So the repressive right wingers are wrong so they deserve public shame and
disdain but liberal society is now on the side of "right" so the opposition deserves
to be crushed. My how enlightened of you. I think that's the same attitude the
people running the inquisition had. I think it's time to stop trying to intimidate heretics
into submission. Bundy is an idiot, true enough. But then again so is Al Sharpton so I'll wait to see if the enlightened left 'condemns and shames' him before I go for that attitude.
