They didn't need the CIA to prevent 9/11, they needed secure and defensible airline cockpit doors and policies in place for their correct use, much like the ones EL-AL used to avoid being hijacked in the Dawson's Field Hijackings.

Dear, Panetta and others have every right to speak up about the gun culture in this country.
Great isn't it that people are speaking up?
Yes, but that doesn't answer the question the other poster raised. Until the government can get rid of the guns the crooks have, then they shouldn't be putting the law biding citizens at a disadvantage by not allowing them to have the best to defended themselves and their homes.

Unfortunately , the nice environmentalist have succeeded in introducing something called summer time blended gasoline.
Now one face value it is not a bad thing because it does reduce smog in places like LA and other cities which lie in a bowl ( surrounded by hills or mountains ) that trap air .
This year as refineries were taken off line for the switch over more then expected refineries had to be taken down for maintenance and at least one refinery was closed so there was a shortage of capacity to refine .
I explain this to Democrats as standing in a forest and needing firewood but lacking an ax.
'Drill baby drill' is not mean't for Joe Smoue who drives his Chevy to the Levi to work every day. Every gallon that is burned brings a lot of tax revenue to our government and they still need more. The taxes off of oil products should be enough to fix the nations bridges and roadways, I mean, look at all the overcrowded roads burning the fuel 24/7.

People are talking a lot about the costs of gas and living across the nation.

It is easy to figure out where the issues come from and why there is not much relief in sight.

1) Based on the following:
a)How much cutbacks did the Federal , Presidential and State Governments cut back overall in the last 4 1/2 years.
b) How much more spending is recorded and the % of increases in that spending even though "Cutbacks" were stated to be needed.
c) How much tax payer Money is missing/unaccounted for from each branch of Government.(Federal, Presidential , and State)
d) Ask yourself why Congress has done nothing to curb the spending but keeps handing more money out even though millions-Trillions are uncounted for.(Overall)
e) Now ask yourself how we can be this far in dept but yet Congress keeps approving more Money (We do not have) and ask where this money is coming from.

Answers:
We do not have the Money and cost is controlled by Big Banking/Big Business that can boots prices without reason or cause.

The Price jumps are to pull in a very small % of the over all cost of the actions of our "Government" mainly due to the fact they do not take a break from spending to make even a small effort to reduce any dept.

Think of it like a spoiled rotten rich kid princess with Daddies credit card and Daddy is going broke. So Mommy does not want to tell her Daddy how bad things are or cut back on spending.
Her only option is to use the businesses under his control and spike prices while reducing cost. This would fix the issue if Daddy would take the credit card away from his little princess but Mommy refuses to.

So in the end this system will crash and Daddy will lose everything...and even though he had an idea this was going on he just kept pretending that his wife would fix the issues for him. In the end His "Loving" wife and spoiled princess will leave him or try and replace him.

Daddy played by the American People.
Princess played by Presidential/Federal/Senate/St ate Leaders.
Mommy played by Congress.

Now truly think about this and tell me how wrong I am.

Like I said, You can't have a person responsible for something and not be responsible for it.
Valerie Plame was responsible for all the intelligence on Iraq given to the president.
By the way, you never told us how you feel about Valerie Plame being outed by Robert Novak.

"Socialist" health care programs is being too kind. ObamaKare is right out of Karl Marx's Das Kapital, spreading the health care wealth around evenly to everyone regardless of their contribution to the economic system. The correct adjective to use when describing ObamaKare is "Marxist".

And the Republicans negotiated with the Democrats and gave them their Marxist subprime housing mortgage underwriting program that collapsed our economy after two years of oversight by Democrats.
Lesson learned:
Don't negotiate with terrorists or Marxists. Any concession to them will come back and do you great harm.

Because, you braindead lib, the EPA obstructs the free market by imposing these idiotic seasonal "blends" -started in Califuckup, of course- and refineries are not being built to satisfy the demand because of onerous environmental regulations and NIMBY.

And the economy was buzzing along, in spite of a recession that he inherited in 2001, and a military attack that killed thousands on the US mainland that resulted in a two-front war, the first since the War of 1812.

Until the Democrats took over in 2009, and we are now seeing the result of that.

Name some "leftist radicals" who have run for high office lately and won. Maybe a party, too?

I'd love to have someone to vote for other than Dems...:)
