MORE "diversion" from Le Dimbulb.
The policy you state is one of 3 that Obama renewed under the "Patriot" Act extension.
Congressional leaders reached agreement on extending the USA Patriot Act until June 1, 2015, providing law enforcement continued powers to track suspected terrorists that include the use of roving wiretaps.
The speaker supports this common-sense proposal because this law has been crucial to detecting and disrupting terrorist plots and protecting the American people,” said Boehner spokesman Michael Steel.
The law was passed after the Sept. 11 attacks, and some of its surveillance powers have been controversial with lawmakers and outside groups, including civil liberties activists. The leaders who agreed to the four-year extension -- potentially removing it as an issue in 2012 elections -- include Boehner, an Ohio Republican.
Following the 72-23 Senate vote, the House voted to approve the bill 250-153 with hours to go before the three terror-fighting tools were set to expire.
The measure extends the legal life of roving wiretaps, court-ordered searches of business records and surveillance of non-American "lone wolf" suspects without confirmed ties to terrorist groups.
The roving wiretaps and access to business records are small parts of the USA Patriot Act that was enacted after the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001. But unlike most of the act, which is permanent law, those provisions must be periodically renewed because of concerns that they could be used to violate privacy rights. The same applies to the "lone wolf" provision, which was part of a 2004 intelligence act.
Why are teabaggers destroying this country?
Poor teabagger.
Speaker Boehner is part and parcel of the old guard Republicans and by no stretch of the imagination could be considered part of the Tea Bag movement.

That is not a Supreme court ruling.

It only applies to the district that court has jurisdiction in.

It could also back fire on wimpy liberals like yourself .

The Supreme court may agree or rule against it and give nationwide status to canceled carry permits or say you do not need one at all or leave it up to the states.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Illinois gun owners by stating the state’s ban on carrying a weapon in public is unconstitutional.

Sounds like a liberal wet dream. There were more gun deaths in the past decade in Chicago with its highly restrictive gun laws then US combat deaths in Afghanistan during the same period and almost as many as the US combat deaths in Iraq.President Obama should send peace keeping forces to the Democratic strongholds of Chicago, Detroit, Oakland and Philadelphia for starters.

Right-wingnuz should start every post with, "Apparently liberal ignorance knows no bounds." So every other wingnuz who reads it will know what freaking geniuses they are, and every liberal will have no choice but to bow before the awesomeness of their sterling intellect. It is hard to imagine the depth of cognition involved in making some of their deduction, and phrasing it with such erudition. With the brain power they exhibit in some of their posts, they’d be hart-pressed to be running the kingdom of mom's basement let alone the Gov’t!

There are no such requirements prior to the exercise of our 1st Amendment rights...in your case maybe there should be.(not)

I find you to be a threat to everyone's inalienable right to life...as you support the denial of individuals right to self-defense.

49 States with some form of concealed carrry law and the last State has until June to come up with one...lol

"February 22, 2013 (CHICAGO)(WLS)-- Concealed carry is one step closer to legalization in Illinois. An appeals court says it will not reconsider a ruling that the state's ban on concealed carry is unconstitutional."

"State lawmakers have until June 8th to come up with a law. They'll consider training, and other issues as they determine who can carry a concealed gun -- and where -- in Illinois."
