Does anyone know if the Sig .357 is a magnum round.

I have a Ruger .45 DAO hammer-less heavy trigger pull no double action/single action , I think about the same size as 10 round Glock .357 Sig model.

If .357 Sig is not magnum , I would stay with .45ACP for stopping power .

Info / Opinions appreciated !

It's slightly more powerful than the .40 S&W and less powerful than the .357 mag (making it a powerful pistol/handgun round).

The drawback is it's not a common round and not so easily stocked at stores.

Thanks Tory.

I had never heard of a .357Sig and could see no advantages over close to the same size gun in .45 ACP.
