<quoted text>I belong to several pro second amendment organizations. I am a benefactor level NRA member, also president’s council. I’m a life member of the GOA. I continue to contribute to Georgia Carry because of the good work they do. And I joined Florida Carry last year.

I’ve been a member of GCO since 2008, just a year after they began. In their short time and weighted for their small size they’ve been one of the most effective organizations I’ve seen. http://www.georgiacarry.org/

What they do in Georgia does impact surrounding states.

I also regularly engage my representatives at the county, state and federal level. It’s critical we tell them how we feel on issues. That can influence their votes.

Recently I heard our county commissioners were proposing required background checks on private sales. I immediately engaged the county commissioners and reminded them of Florida pre-emption laws which would make them personally liable if they chose to proceed. I told them I would contact the governor’s office if the ordinance passed.

Yes, I do walk the walk.
I had no doubt you walk the walk. On most things, you and I are on the same page.

"Way over"? Got facts?

<quoted text>You could say the same for every other civil rights organization, but it simply is not true. Even if the NRA "wins" today, but in the real world, there are still all those anti-gun zealots out there trying to undermine your rights, they don't just disappear. The other fact is that the NRA does more than fight idiotic gun control They have numerous training programs, safety programs, product reviews, technican data publications, competitions, law enforcement training programs, certified instructor training, pistol permit courses, crime prevention/defense programs, women's programs, and a host of other activities. Plus membership comes with a ton of benefits and discounts! Just sayin'
Again, I don't fault anyone for being a NRA member. They do in fact have some great programs.
It's true there will be anti gun liberals out there even if it is ruled that gun control is unconstitutional. But if it is ruled unconstitutional, the anti gunners are spinning their wheels.
If it comes to revolution, there may not be as many anti gunners after the smoke clears.

I'm sure many would have caved to the pressure. My opinion is, politicians caving to the pressure would have led to some very pissed off gun owners that would have put their foot down swiftly and decisively.

Typical Republican total rejection of accountability in response to their world-wide recession.
If Republican Bush hadnt created two wars for the warmongering Fed stockholders, then nobody would have to be spending money to get the economy moving. Since Im not a robot of the Elite, I can criticize liberal leaders for how some of the money is being spent. Thats the opposite of Republican robots who must repeat all propaganda theyre fed, which means total loyalty to the Party and betrayal of the USA and democracy. Only the dumbest people would keep destroying themselves so the rich can get richer.
If there was any hope of fixing what Village Idiot Bush did, then Republicans wouldnt have taken a dive with McCain and Palin. They didnt want to be blamed for their treason. They have that in common with banking and legal parasites.

I heard it put best by a Democrat politician from Louisiana. "We don't want to infringe your second amendment rights, we just want to limit them a little."
Ironically, infringe is defined as: to limit or undermine.

The 9/11 group were made up of about 30 people that knew of it. So the US needed to invade two countries, have 4000 US dead troops and 30,000 wounded for that? Seal Team six could have taken care of the problems in a week.
Plus the fact Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

Had to track down Bin Laden after Bush let him go. Took awhile to wind down the mess Obama had to start with.
