The idea that any senator or any member of the house would propose a bill outlawing all firearms is patently absurd.

<quoted text>So what are you complaining about? It looks like you agree with me that a ban on all guns can't be upheld.
A ban on any guns is a violation of our 2nd Amendment rights! Why do you progressives insist on the all or nothing concept?
Let me break it down to Romper Room level for you.
If you have a right under an amendment to own and use toothpicks, and the Amendment says that right shall not be infringed, you should be able to buy any toothpicks you want.
Along comes someone that says yellow toothpicks put out more eyes than other colors, and bans yellow toothpicks.
You can still buy other colored toothpicks. But your rights were violated because ALL toothpicks were protected under the Amendment.

As another poster put it. Rosa Parks didn't need to ride at the front of the bus, but she had the right to. Even if you don't need that yellow toothpick, you have a right to it.

It's easily documented even for a hapless fool like you!
How have the GOPers persuaded America to buy into the myth of Obama THE BIG SPENDER when the opposite is true?!
• In fiscal 2010 (the first Obama budget) spending fell 1.8% to $3.46 trillion.
• In fiscal 2011, spending rose 4.3% to $3.60 trillion.
• In fiscal 2012, spending is set to rise 0.7% to $3.63 trillion, according to the
• Finally in fiscal 2013 — the final budget of Obama’s term — spending is scheduled to fall 1.3% to $3.58 trillion. CBO’s estimate of the budget that was agreed to last August.
When America has chosen to believe the horse manure produced by a NEWS agency consistently making false claims, promotes divisive behavior, bigotry and hatred, you will remain ignorant in your anger and self-imposed blindness.

News Flash: Obama, skeet shooter..... Obama claims to be a skeet shooter when he visits Camp David. When asked about the assertion jay Carney, press secretary, said he didn't know about that. When pressed for pictures he dodged with the reply that Obama goes there to spend time with his family not Photo-op. Ironic since we DO have photos of him at Camp David playing golf. Could this timely tidbit about Obama's new push for gun control and his need for camoflauge, ala John Kerry's duck hunting pics? Expect to see a series of Obama pics on a skeet range soon.

Now for some truth from people who actually know something about this subject:

On the subject you mentioned of tax cuts for the rich, this week's NEWSWEEK (8/9/10), says:

"The Bush tax cuts remain the single largest cause of American's structural deficit...The Bush administration inherited budget surpluses from the Clinton administration.

What turned these surpluses into deficits? Three fundamental new costs: the tax cuts, the prescription-drug bill and the Iraq and Afghaniston wars.

THE TAX CUTS WERE BY FAR THE LARGEST, ADDING UP TO $2.3 TRILLION.

According to the CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE, nearly half the cost of all legislation enacted from 2001 to 2007 can be attributed to the tax cuts.

"Federal taxes, as a percentage of the economy, are now at their LOWEST LEVEL since the presidency of Harry Truman."

"The simple fact is this: all the Bush tax cuts were unaffordable. They were an IRRESPONSIBLE act of hubris."

"Clinton raised taxes in 1992 and ushered in a period of extraordinarily robust growth.

"Bush cut taxes massively in 2001 and got meager growth in return."

"Poll finds most voters blame Bush more than Obama for country's recession"

By Walter Alarkon

A poll found voters were twice as likely to blame President George W. Bush than President Obama for economic problems.

A new poll released Monday found voters were twice as likely to blame President George W. Bush, rather than President Obama, for the nation’s economic problems.

When asked whether Bush or Obama was responsible for the recession, 53 percent of likely voters said Bush and 26 percent said Obama, according to the poll from Third Way. Another 21 percent of respondents said they didn’t know.

Benenson Strategy Group conducted the survey from June 19-22.
