Area gun sales, fears rising

Nov 14, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: North Port Sun

Gun stores in Charlotte County have experienced increased sales since Election Day as local gun owners brace for an anticipated restriction of gun laws following the re-election of President Barack Obama.

You're not giving DumBama enough credit. He knows how to create jobs, but jobs are not his concern. HIs concern is to expand government dependency as much as he can. More government workers, more bureaucracies, more people on food stamps and welfare, all college students who need loans, and yes, more people on government healthcare of some kind.
It's a pattern that can only be missed by the blind. In sprite of actual numbers and documented proof, liberals still believe that this was not DumBama's goal. They really believe that the so-called stimulus plan was to create new jobs outside of the public sector. They believe all his failures are because of Bush or the Republican Congress. Obama can do no wrong in their minds, that's how he got reelected. The man is flawless.
Obama has of flaw ; he buys his own BS.

Then perhaps you should examine your own.
If you are visiting a strange town, how do you know where the good restaurants are? You go to the one that has a full lot of cars. If you need major surgery done and want the best, how do you know who the good surgeons are? The ones with a waiting list. If you want to impress a date by taking her to a play, how do you know what plays are good and what plays are bad? By the trouble it takes to get good seats.

I hate to ruin your day, but swing voters as you call them are Independent voters, and Romeny did very well among Independents this last election. That leads us to believe one of two things: Independents don't listen to Limbaugh or Independents that listen to Limbaugh were swayed to vote for Romney:

I read your article. Romney should have won by a landslide.

I’ve never been a regular listener of Rush. Yesterday I was told Atlanta was expecting bad weather. Since I’m in Atlanta for a few days I decided to attempt to catch a weather report and tuned into WSB Radio. Rush was on, I wasn’t happy but was hopeful I would hear the weather forecast soon. Anyway, I endured Rush for about 30 minutes.

I know he’s made comments which can be interpreted as racist and why I don’t listen to him. Fascist and Nazi? You’re just tossing terms without regard to their meaning. Makes me wonder if you know what those terms mean.

There is no need for you to repost what I said. I will do so.

I said:“People who listen to talk radio are a small minority of all daily radio listeners.(Most radio listeners prefer music, or regular news programs, etc. But out of that small minority that listens to talk Radio, Rush has the largest share.“

Now, after I said,“Rush has the largest share”, you replied

"You claimed that more people chose to listen to someone else." How do you interpret my saying that “Rush has the largest share” to saying that “more people chose to listen to someone else”?

That makes no sense. You are claiming that I said exactly the opposite of what I actually said.

I think your confusion stems from my earlier comment that “Yes, he is the single most listened to talk radio personality in America, but the overwhelming majority of radio listeners choose to listen to something other than Limbaugh.” Both of those things are correct. In other words,“Rush is the most listened to radio personality in America” But that is among people who listen to talk radio. When I say,“the overwhelming majority of radio listeners choose to listen to something other than Rush” that is also correct. First of all, Rush is on AM radio, so the people who only listen to FM radio (the majority of radio listeners) obviously don’t listen to Rush.

You mistakenly thought I said that the majority of radio listeners listen to some talk radio host other than Rush. I said that the majority of radio listeners listen to some RADIO PROGRAMMING other than Rush. I didn't say, as you claim, that “more people chose to listen to SOMEONE else”, I said that more people choose to listen to SOMETHING else, which is correct.

I hope this explanation helps clarify what I’m saying.

Well, if you don't read my posts, how do you know if what I'm saying is correct or not? Do you realize that you just admitted that you don't know what you're talking about?

Think about it. You just stated that nobody reads my posts, then you make judgments about me (arrogant boob, etc.) based on something that you admit you didn't even read.

In other words, you essentially are stating "I do not read Calm Liberal's posts. Instead, I just formulate my opinion based on nothing but my own irrational hatred, anger, and ignorance."

And you wonder why you can't persuade people to see things your way.

Incredible.

You are right of course. It is essentially a waste of time. Rush listeners are the kind of people that the sociologist Eric Hoffer referred to as "the True Believer". But I still try to reason with them anyway. In that respect, I'm like the alcoholic who says, "Ok, just one more drink, and I'll quit."
