Some Illinois Democrats on Thursday urged the governor to act quickly on legislation allowing the carrying of concealed weapons in the state, saying they need him to accept or reject the measure so lawmakers can avert a "public safety and constitutional crisis" as they try to meet a court-ordered deadline.

The deadline is July 9

When Ohio debated CC, the cops were furious. They jumped up and down and pouted like children. The Ohio Senate had to override the Governor's veto.

Ohio proved it was POLICE who always had prevented people from arming themselves and protecting themselves in public with guns.

The existence of large (politically powerful) police forces leaves the public UNARMED (disarmed) and unsafe (from both armed criminals and armed police).

When only police have guns they become our masters. Thousands of cop-collaborators do anything cops tell them to do (to the personal enemies of police).

They're just NOW worried about a "constitutional crisis" after having the unconstitutional law for HOW many years?(And imprisoning countless Americans illegally while they were at it?) Some chutzpah!

Quinn says it's a serious public safety issue. Yes it is when the public has been disarmed by law and made vunerable.
