I taught English at the Catholic church in Livingaton in 1971. My husband Bill was in the Peace Corps there from 1969-1971. I have lost touch and would love news updates.
Does Lucy still run a store at the top of the Hill. Does Tina Martinez still live a couple of houses away from her? Is Jorge Lupito still baking? Do Indians still sell tepesquintle? Can you still get great coconut milk bread? Does anyone remember Bill and Christy getting married there in 1971? We basically got the whole town drunk. Would love info on oldtimers.

Hi Chris,
E-mail me at [email protected] my grandfather was John Loria. He owned a small ferry boat that went from Puerto Barrios to LIvingston -- the Santa Marta. I have not been to Livingston in years but can probably help you connect with some of my relatives who are still there and in the know. alot of big changes...like the streets are pretty much paved now!

I remember you guys, you were married by - if memory serves me well- fahter James Kennedy (England). I was 17 and remember getting drunk. Jorge Lupitou no longer bakes. Livingston, as you knew it is gone, drugs and crime have taken over, bad seeds came to this paradise.
There was another guy with Bill also with the Peace Corps, I believe his name was Mike.
Do you remember any of your students' names? Martha Loria (my sister), Zoila, Gabriela, Teco etc.
Any questions you can email at [email protected]
